As I pointed out the other day, when the rumor mill slows down in regards to the Apple hype machine, there always seems to be something right around the corner to get tongues wagging. This week the rumor of imminent iPad 2 release chums the waters, calling all the tech sharks in for a quick frenzy.

Macotakara, keeps tabs on the Foxconn factory floor and says that production has been ramped up in anticipation of the announcement and subsequent March release. Makotakara has kept its readers in the loop regarding these types of details before, reporting on major display buy's and case production.
Strengthened by the fact that the iPad was announced in January last year a move which was later criticized by industry experts in regards to the long delay between demonstration and actual roll out. Makes a certain amount of sense that Apple would shorten that span by a few weeks in retrospect. Given that we know there is an iOS event scheduled later this week it should be
Release in March seems less feasible yet, The original iPad released in April last year. However in the current state of the market, it would behoove the reigning wonderkin to back that out a few weeks to capitalize on the release of devices from HTC, Blackberry, LG, and the Android 3.0 tablet.
In either case here we have another story. Which comes at a time when Apples press is mostly centered in the legal actions of their App process. Seems the leaks are right on time.
