The singer Amy Winhouse has been found dead in her flat in Camden London aged 27.
Sources are stateing a drugs overdose as the cause.
Officially the police have said they are treating her death as unexplained.
Amy Winehouse has battled drink and drugs through out her now short career.
A spokesman for Amy Winehouse said:
"Everyone involved with Amy is shocked and devasted. Our thoughts are with her family and friends. The family will issue a statement when ready."
The Back To Black artist had cancelled all tour dates and engagements last month after a series of erratic public appearances.
Her final show was in Belgrade in June where she was jeered by fans after a shambolic performance.
Her father Mitch is flying back to the UK from New York where he was due to perform.
Her family have constantly tried to get her into rehab for drink and drugs but there efforts have failed.
Fans have started to gather in her road in Camden North London and part of it has been sealed off.
Amy Winehouse married a drug addict called Blake Fielder-Siville and there marriage was a disaster on all angles.
It was mr Fielder Siville who introduced her to hard drugs.
There have been pictures of Miss Winehouse with needle marks inbetween her toes on public appearances.
The lure of hard drugs such as Cocaine,Crack,Heroin,Ectasy mixed with her liking for neat vodka have killed a very talented singer.
Her father Mitch will be a broken man as he has faught to get her off drugs for years.
