Living in Norfolk England you hear about the ghostly carryings on. I have visited several times the great Blickling Hall famous also for the lady that glides down the staircase just before daybreak.
I have featured Blicking Hall on my website. The great Hall houses marvelous portraits above huge carved staircases and the furnishings, especially taperstries,
are stunning. You get a sense of reverence and pleasure walking the Hall, but you also get a tingle at the back of your neck when you see shields and deadly weapons high up on the walls next to the heads of the wild beasts. When the Hall is open, there is never a rush. A handful of people at a time get to see this magnificent home. On my site the pictures I have taken clearly show this despite not being able to use flash photography, being one of the conditions of entry, and because it was often shadowy
inside the hallways, I was pleased to see some images come out. Blickling Hall is haunted by many but mostly by Anne who had married Henry V111 and was beheaded at Tower Green at the Tower of London. The link below may be of interest to you. It is all about Blicking Hall and the Hauntings plus other goings on elsewhere...
