18 months ago: I believe that the republic is literally FUBAR (F****d Up Beyond All Repair). The only thing that can be done is to tear it down and start over following the constitution and referring to the Federalist Papers for guidance on the intent of the founders. I'm not talking about just a reboot here. I'm talking about shutting the system down completely and rebuilding from scratch - analogous to wiping the hard drive and reloading the operating system from scratch.

In the computer world, what I've described would easily lead to a man-day of work or more. Whatever applications you had before would also have to be reloaded and reconfigured. Doing the equivalent to the republic would mean horrific effects. The only way such a thing could happen is as a result of a civil war - a real one as opposed to the ersatz one that took place in the 1860s. The death toll could easily climb into the tens of millions.

The worst part is that the conservatives will not be the ones to start the war. It will be the progressives. They will proceed in their plan to completely remake the republic until one day they kill someone - someone innocent, someone just going about their lives not bothering anyone - kinda like Randy Weaver or the Branch Davidians or other folk the elite believe must be brought to heel by any means necessary. Then patriots will rise up, aided and abetted by Oath Keepers in Law Enforcement and the Armed Forces, and take the country back from those who do not like the constitution, who do not believe the Founders knew anything about anything. And it will get bloody. And good people - ON BOTH SIDES - will die. And non-combatants will suffer.

And ultimately, either the forces fighting for liberty will prevail or they will not. In the former case the constitution will be restored and our nation cleansed of the vile curse of statism. In the letter case, liberty will be lost and everyone but the elites will end up as slaves to the state. And the experiment in liberty will end.

We Sovereigns will never let it come this violence.

That is why the military, the supreme court, 80 plus nations, the International Court or World Court, has helped us get to this point.

We are NOT alone, the whole world is waiting for us to be free.

We are being helped by those in power that know, if we do not free ourselves, they too will never be free.

You patriot brothers need to read what we are doing and know that all of of have to fight the Elite and Liberal machine in power right now.

18 months ago: Sorry, Ron. If you truly believe that then you are just as psychotic as Altruist and all the statists. "We sovereigns" will not have a choice. Or rather the choice will be to accept subjecthood - as have all living in Europe - a fight to regain our liberty. "Subject" is functionally equivalent to "serf". It is said that the difference between a subject and a citizen is the right to keep and bear arms. The purpose of the RKBA is to have the wherewithal to revolt. In Europe, for the most part people are only allowed to own sporting weapons. Effectively they are disarmed. They certainly have no way to revolt.

I will not quote the entire article but here is one of Mr. Marinov's central points:

When a law is passed by a Parliament in a European nation, the average European automatically accepts that the law is valid for the very reason that it is passed by a proper parliamentary procedure. The law may be immoral, or may be contrary to common sense, or the law may be outright discriminatory and oppressive, but it is still valid in the European mind, just because a bunch of politicians voted for it. Even if the law is completely against the consent of the governed, it is still valid and it deserves compliance. The consent of the governed is never a factor in the European thinking, and the average European never even allows for such a factor to play any part in his dealings with his government.

In contrast I would offer this snippet from a famous foundation document of our
republic:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the consent of the governed

Jefferson continues with language about how no government ought to be discarded for trivial reasons. He concludes with

when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new guards for their future security

The left has made it abundantly clear that we the people no longer factor into their calculus. THEY know what is best for us and THEY are willing to do whatever THEY believe is necessary to "correct" the masses of which you and I are but miniscule parts.

Ron, the left is like a horse with the bit in its teeth. There will be no stopping them. When the conflict comes (when not if) it will be because their excesses will have grown so far beyond tolerability that true men will no longer stand idly by.
