i am a cross country truck driver. since this so called STIMULOUS package was delivered,,i cant tell you how many companies have had to shut thier doors with drivers still out on the road, with o way of getting home to thier families.if the fatcats in washington could find a way to see past thier plush offices, or maybe see the REAL world out of thier super dark tinted windows in thier gas guzzling limos, maybe then they would'nt be so quick to pass all these bills that they pass. "we have to pass the bill so you can see whats in it" nancy pelosi,or however ya spell her name, said that. now you tell me,,how in the world does that make any sense?and i dont think to this day any of those jokers up there still really dont have any idea what they shoved down our throats. i swear,,when the revolution fire ups against this screwed up government,,by god,,i'll be on the front lines, and i will have a list of those that have screwed this country over and i will go hunting, thats ONLY if the revolution occurs,,right now i just have to sit back and take my lumps like the rest of the hard working americans, who are scraping by,while washington lives high on the hog,,,,it's just not right!

We will first be put under Marshall law, the constitution will be suspended.

Hundreds of thousands of us will be put to death or placed in the 800 FEMA CAMPS.

But slowly the Patriots will start to fight back.

It is my hope that the innocent are not hurt.

The ones responsible and the ones that are part of the treason, should be targeted first.

They will target our leaders and we should return the favor.

1. Politicians
2. Judges
3. Attorneys
4. Bank presidents
5. CEO of major companies
6.CFO of major companies
7. The families of the Elites around the world.

But we must never attack the police, the armed forces. Hide and come out and take out one of the list above, and the war will end very fast.

The mental and social behavior of: A communist, socialist, liberal, progressive, marxist, Leninist, etc., or any combination of the these, is only understood, by knowing what they have in common mentally and emotionally and in what they want and believe in:

They are a danger to us by their most common beliefs:

Anti-Self Defense, Anti-Second Amendment, Anti-Constitution, Anti-Real Constitutional History, Anti-Family Values, Anti-Business, Pro-Big Government, Pro-New World Order, Pro-Criminals, Anti-Natural Nutrients, Pro-Excessive Taxation, Pro-Excessive Federal Regulations, Pro-Abortion Or Anti-Life, Anti-Real Causes Of Illnesses And Pro-Symptom Cures, Anti-Natural Doctors And Pro-Symptom Doctors, Anti-God, Anti-Religion, Pro-Godless Cults, Anti-Patriotism, Pro-Corruption, and Pro-Immorality, Pro-Perversion, Pro-Bestiality, Etc., And Etc..

When We Have Commie Liberals In Control, We Don't Need Plagues, We Have The 666 To Rule Us.

By knowing how their sick minds work. Can you trust them? Do they ever tell the truth?

I tell it like it is, I pull no punches, tell no lies, and I am as I am

...Considering the peanut farmer's gross ineptitude as Commander in Chief, that was a bit of a jaw dropper...(in response to the commissioning of the USS Jimmy Carter)

...In fact, just the other day, Limbaugh called Jimmy Carter the nations Hemorrhoid. Actually, I agree with him on that one, but that's beside the point...

...Now as I'm not a partisan stooge so I'll go farther back and hammer the peanut farmer for his impotent response to the attack and takeover of our Embassy in Iran...

Did you guess right? Now if anybody is playing a three card monte, it would be a partisan stooge that criticizes the other side for what their side does in spades.

Please explain.

Are you saying that the right wing fringe was in this case capable of doing that thing they rarely can, namely putting the left in its place?

Or are you saying the left was putting the right in its place with holed card facts?

Also, please qualify your prerequisites for being a member of the right wing fringe. People want to know.

21 months ago: Exactly my point. Why are trying to muddy the waters by dredging up the sediment of the previous administration? Why not go back to the origination of NAFTA? G.W.H. Bush got the ball rolling, but failed to get everything ratified, leaving it in the court of William J. Clinton, who promptly got to work on it, rewording sections to make it more palatable to certain objectors.

"One of the agreement's few remaining provisions to be implemented is the cross-border trucking provision. Originally planned to commence in December 1995 with transportation between Mexico and the four Border States ( Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Texas), it was to have been fully implemented by January 1, 2000. In December 1995, Transportation Secretary Peña announced an indefinite delay in "opening" the border to long-haul Mexican commercial trucks to address legitimate concerns about the safety of Mexican trucks that would be traveling on our highways.

Twelve years later these concerns have been addressed and, now that safety and security programs are in place, the time has come for us to move forward on a long-standing promise with Mexico and Canada by taking the trucking provisions of the North American Free Trade Agreement off hold. "

21 months ago: No, the OP complained about Pelosi as thought it's her fault for whatever problem he's having as a trucker and pointing out the NAFATA cross-border trucker program is exceptionally relevant. As he's a trucker who doesn't live too far from the border, I'm be curious to get his input on that.

Muddying the waters? You got it bass ackwards - I'm pointing out the muddy waters and how they didn't just get that way in the past 2 years- the GOP is as responsible as the Dem in making the muddy mess.

" ...Bush when he tried to put American truck drivers out of business with his NAFTA "cross-border" trucking program that allowed Mexican trucks and drivers full access to U.S. highways?"

That was not Bush's program, it was a matter of treaty long before Bush came into office.

LOL, you make it sound like the poor guy had a gun to his head as opposed to the reality of him championing it in the face of Dem opposition.

Dateline 2008:

http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/...

"President Bush chastised lawmakers on Tuesday for letting international trade deals falter in Congress and criticized Democratic presidential contenders for wanting to scrap or amend the vast North American free-trade zone.
At the close of a two-day summit, Bush, along with Mexican President Felipe Calderon and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, stood solidly behind the North American Free Trade Agreement.

"If you do away with NAFTA, there's going to be a lot of Mexicans, more Mexicans out of work," Bush said"

LMAO - of course Moon Beam, they won't be able to replace our truckers!

Come on OOTB, you're just defending him because you're a partisan, he's a fellow evangel, and you need to make somebody else the scapegoat since you probably voted for him.

Our two closest neighbors were counting on us sharing, well, spreading the wealth around, so to speak. It was the neighborly thing to do, instead of being the selfish Americans some would like us to be.

By the way, I'm not partisan, never voted for either Bush, and I try to never mix religion with my politics. :-)

21 months ago: First off JeffisBroke welcome to RR. There are many of us here that believe in the same philosophy you are talking about.

Many people are worried were this Country is heading. My best advice is to make sure you go and vote. That is were the change starts. It is hard to believe a politician when they say one thing and do another but we are pretty used to their snake oil salesman pitches by now. So I suggest if you do decide to vote that you research each candidate meticulously to get a better idea of how they have voted on Congressional Bills in the past.

I agree this country is heading down the wrong road. In the time of a near depression we should be concentrated on creating new jobs not raising taxes. The more taxes you raise the more people have to work longer hours to pay for those tax increases..when the job maret continues to weaken we are left with coming up with ideas on how to create a massive amount of jobs in a short amount of time.

This starts with stopping illegal aliens working under the table and taking American jobs only to send the money back to Mexico to their loved ones.

There is absolutely no reason for them not to become a legal citizen like the rest of us. We have branches of the government that we pay for through taxes as citizens to help people from other countries become productive legal citizens, lets start promoting them.

The best way to create jobs in a weakened economy is to give small businesses tax breaks. By giving them tax breaks we help them keep their doors open longer..they will spend the extra money on hiring more workers. The more people back to work the more those people send and the more our economy is stimulated.

We also need to cut special interest group program funding. Their is absolutely no reason for us as a Nation not to be using a sensible financial approach to our problems that face us all.

For example when your hours are cut at work that means less money in your pocket. In order to survive you have to cut back on luxury expenses you had when working a full forty. The same principle should be applied on a massive scale to our local,Sate and federal government. Meaning we can no longer afford the luxuries of the past as a nation so we need to cut back on special interest group funding. It only makes sense and that is what we need, some common sense politicians in office willing to do just that.

Whether NAFTA started the process of moving our manufacturing base to other countries or if that was just the inevitable result of the free market system seeking the lowest paid workers is beside the point. Those jobs ain't coming back.

The point is where do we go from here, and how do we get the jobs back? Time magazine has a good article on that. Obama is trying to jump start the US into the new fields that will provide jobs in the future. http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/...

The latest CBO report indicates that "President Barack Obama's stimulus boosted real GDP in the quarter by between 1.7 percent and 4.5 percent, adding at least $200 billion in economic activity."

"It raised employment by between 1.4 million and 3.3 million jobs during the second quarter of this year, CBO estimated." http://in.reuters.com/article/idINIndia-...

The government can't really do much because most jobs are provided by the private sector. Most major industries have a lot of money but is just sitting on it waiting till consumers start buying. Housing is being curtailed by the banks which have actually made it harder to buy a house. Now they want 30% down payment! Who can come up with that besides the millionaires who are profiting from the whole collapse of the economy.

I personally think the president should have nationalized the failed banks and made them lend money to homeowners and small businesses. That would have jump started home buying and small businesses who provide 65% of the new jobs.

The republicans are also culpable because they killed a good jobs bill that would have given loans and tax breaks to small businesses to hire new people.

Yes an who will pay for the economic boost? The tax payer will have to pay back that money. Unless you think money grows on trees? So you just shuffled around our own demise long enough to pawn it off on someone else to fix. makes sense to me....

Unemployment numbers keep increasing I am not sure what planet you are on?

"GDP growth and housing prices are significantly lower and unemployment significantly higher in the ten-year window following the crisis when compared to the decade that preceded it," the authors conclude. They look at fifteen post-World War II financial crises in advanced and emerging economies and the three global crises that occurred in the 1930s, the 1970s and the latest financial crisis.

That is assuming you have bad credit. Banks will give out a mortgage depending on how good your credit is..The price of housing has dropped significantly allowing the middle and lower class to afford to buy a house. If anything now is the time to buy as long as you did not screw up your credit in the past.

21 months ago: I have excellent credit and would like to buy a house. A few years ago I could put down 10% down payment. Now they want 30%.

Apparently it is the Republicans who think that money grows on trees.

If the Democrats have their way they will extend the Bush tax cuts to 98% of the people, but the Republicans may filibuster that bill because they think the super Rich should also get tax cuts. That will add $700 billion to the debt with no benefits. In that case the Republicans will be responsible for a tax increase for everyone.

The Republicans killed a bill that would have ended some of the oil companies corporate welfare that added $350 billion to the debt. They objected to cuts in waste to Medicare, they are objecting to cuts in the military. They also killed the small business bill that would have created jobs and gotten the economy going again for purely partisan reasons.

So if the Republicans want to give away borrowed money to the rich, the oil companies, and the military, and reject any attempts to pay for this, who is most concerned about the National Debt?

20 months ago: Yes they might want 30% but housing decreased considerably. A $150,000 home in our area had the highest bid and sold for only $50,000. You are getting a better valued home by buying now.

Imagine if you had to pay 10% of $150,000 it equals $15,000

That same house in this economy is now worth only $50,000 and 30% of that is again $15,000

Their is absolutely no difference you would still have to pay the same amount for a down payment seeings how housing prices have decreased considerably. Plus if you can not save $15,000 for a down payment you should not be buying a house in the first place. That is what got us into this situation in the first place and caused the housing bubble. Citizens buying homes they can not afford.
