The organisation calling itself the church of scientology has for a long time been accused of human rights abuses including: discrimination, forced labour, torture, illegal detention, physical and mental abuse, coerced abortions and slavery. Most of these accusations come from a growing number of people who were members of the organisation calling itself the church of scientology and claim to be victims of it.
Some of these accusations became the focus of a speech in the Australian Senate on November 17th 2009 which is now being reported around the world.

It should be noted however that the organisation calling itself the church of scientology is currently advertising using one of its many front groups Youth For Human Rights. These adverts can be seen on satellite channels in the UK and across Europe where religions are not traditionally allowed to advertise.
While apparently secular and advocating awareness of human rights the organisation called Youth For Human Rights is the spawn of the organisation calling itself the church of scientology and ultimately its material leads back to the organisation calling itself the church of scientology.
The Youth For Human Rights organisation is just another cynical attempt by the church of scientology to recruit new members from young people eager to change the world while also making money from them.
