I have always wanted to sit down and lay out all the reasons why we should just give Michigan to Canada. Someday I will. Right now I don't have much time but in today's news I saw one more reason:

I couldn't believe what I was reading. This Senator, Debbie Stabenow is actually demanding that the commissioner of a PRIVATE COMPANY do what she says. I have some news for Sen. Debbie: MLB is not GM, the government has not taken that over...Yet!
I find it really disheartening, that the Sen. Debbie finds time for this, but cant' figure out how to solve the problem of crime in her state. Michigan contains two cities, Detroit and Flint, that are consistently near the top of the most dangerous cities to live in. She also can't figure out the unemployment problem in her state. For years, Michigan has had one of the highest rates of unemployment (here's a link, note they are always one of the highest
http://www.bls.gov/lau/maps/stseries.pdf ), and at 14.9% in March of this year, they are the highest in the nation. She doesn't seemed to be worried about education, Detroit and Flint once again usually rank at the tob for the worst educational system. Why should the politicians care? Their uneducated electorate has sent the same Congressmen to the house for a combined 100 years (Rep. Dingell[berry] 55 years, and Rep. Conyers 45 years). Look how well off their constituents are!!!
Three reasons, failure to curtail crime, failure to created jobs, and failure to educate their citizens, while being one of the biggest leeches of Federal tax dollars.
Although there are many more, those are just three reasons why we as a Nation should cut our losses and just beg Canada to take Michigan off our hands (and keep them out of our pockets).
