In a speculative story that may catch on in the conservative circles, a volcano in the Galapagos Islands is erupting. The volcano, La Cumbre by name, began spewing lava, gas and smoke on the uninhabited Fernandina Island on Saturday after four years of inactivity.
Why would this raise ears in the conservative circles? It is not only because of the ties of the island to Darwin's work on evolution, but because the volcano starting spewing on the even of Easter, and kept spewing right on through Easter. Is this somehow related to the Christian holiday, and God's anger against the theory of evolution? I'll let the many groups decide that one, it makes for some crazy argument and speculation if nothing else.
And the answer to that last question is no by the way, just in case you were interested. Seriously, let the children learn...
