Venezuela and Colombia - Brink of War

Is it time for the US to intervene?
Since Colombia agreed to allow US bases to be built in Colombia to help control drug cartels (OK, maybe that's just the official reason), Chavez has been doing quite a bit of saber rattling. His latest comments are probably the boldest, Chavez said "Let's not waste a day on our main aim: to prepare for war."
This type of talk has much of the world concerned, as Colombia has already approached the UN for its support. South America would definitely be an area of concern for the security of the United States. Will our Presidents Nobel Peace prize be put on the shelf again, as we enter a third war zone?
Perhaps we should let them figure it out for themselves, but knowing the M.O. of the defense industry, that's not likely.

30 months ago: Call me crazy I just got done watching a video the other day on how Michael Ruppert said "Columbia will be the next war" ,which he stated shortly after 9/11. I like to get various opinions on issue and make my final call, the video was about how the CIA is being accused of being drug runners. Crazy talk if you ask me but how spot on with saying we will enter into a war with Columbia.
