Crystal ***** and myself **** * ******* received a vacation through Spirit Incentives from Sundance Vacations for participation in one of their sale seminars. We initially spoke with a Spirit Incentives Representative over a year ago. The vacation was free but we were responsible for a one time fee 198.00 USD. This fee was to cover taxes and port charges for two persons. We were guaranteed by the spirit incentives representative that this was the only fee and we only needed to pick from a list of departure dates for the time and departure. This was to be a three day three night cruise to the Bahamas. We were able to select the dates online via their (spirit incentives) website. My significant other received an email to call the reservations department to confirm our reservation. The date we had selected was April 8, of 2011. We had selected this date back in 2010. We paid the Promised one time fee of 198.00 USD via MasterCard so exact records of the date and time we spoke and paid this fee are available if needed for litigation. Upon calling the reservations department to confirm our dates we were told by a new representative that we needed to pay 250.00 USD per person for taxes and port fees or have our money already paid refunded. I said I would call them back and that I needed to speak with my spouse. I then called back and spoke to another different representative who told me that we needed to pay 225.00 USD per person or have our money refunded. We were promised a long time ago that the 198.00 USD was a one time payment for taxes for two persons on the cruise. This was for a trip that was advertised free by Sundance Vacations. We spoke to Spirit Incentives initially in 2010 and they informed us and guaranteed that we only had to pay the one time fee of 198.00 USD to cover the taxes and port charges. I told the last spirit incentives to REFUND our money for they were obviously attempting to scam us. False advertisement, bait and switch or simply a Scam I do not know what to call it but all three of the above. We were guaranteed a free vacation by Sundance for participation in they're seminar. They're provider of vacations guaranteed that 198.00 USD was the only payment for taxes required of us. Spirit incentives has had 198.00 USD belonging to us for over a year. We were misled and promised a Cruise we did not receive. If this is a violation of any laws I am inclined to press charges.

13 months ago: It happened to my family. Attended a seminar where the vacation package was $400.00 and a deal so good you couldn't refuse. If you didn't take that, you had the option of receiving two airline tickets to anywhere in the USA. There were a lot of restrictions, such as, no fly dates, and notification 3 months prior to flying. They have a real good sales pitch but once you pay the money and put the paperwork in for the tickets, they don't get back to you. When you contact them, their excuse is that the paperwork got lost, and they are so sorry. Don't believe it. They disappeared after the 3rd call. Lost about $200.00. Tossed that up to a bad swindle. We learned our lesson. Those e-mail notifications where you win a trip to Disney aren't real either. I found that one company was all over the internet as being bogus.
