Tweeting Terror Threats via Twitter!

Social networking should not be used for pranks, however, that is exactly what happened when a group who call themselves Script Kiddies hacked the twitter account of NBC news and tweeted about a suspected hijacking that would happen around the 10th anniversary of September 11th.

The first tweet was posted on Friday night stating, "Breaking News! Ground Zero has just been attacked. Flight 5736 has crashed into the site, suspected hijacking. More as the story develops."

With the Nation on high alert due to the 10th anniversary of September 11th, 2001, these pranksters should be punished by the fullest extent of the law.

This group, Script Kiddies was also known to hack the Fox News Networks twitter account this past July, sending out tweets in reference to President Obama getting assassinated.

There is just no excuse for this type of behavior. These clowns obviously did not bother to think about the victims of September 11th, 2001, or the families that still suffer the losses. Nor, did they bother to think about all of the first responders, many of which are now fighting illness and death due to being exposed to hazardous material. The actions of this group are truly disrespectful, tasteless, classless and childish; hence their name Script Kiddies is beyond fitting!

While there is nothing wrong with having a sense of humor, there is nothing humorous about terror, even if it is fabricated terror.

As a country, we are now faced with the recent news that two U-haul vans were stolen in Maryland, two in New York, and yet another in New Jersey. All of these thefts have been reported on the eve of September 11th. Law enforcement officials have their work cut out for them and the last thing we need as a nation, is intentionally falsified reports of terror.
