If you want to feel like you have some control over the economy, and you have the free time, swing on over to addictinggames.com and play a quick round of "Trillion Dollar Bailout."
The game isn't that great, but everyone on this site seems to really enjoy talking about politics and the economy, so here's a good way to get involved. The nice part is you get to decide where to give the money out, and who to snub and slap with a giant hand.
I guess I won the round I played, though I mainly just liked knocking the little characters off of their houses and buildings. That in itself makes it worth playing, maybe. Jesus even makes an appearance, as does the Dalai Lama, and Elvis. And I found out that you can knock planes out of the sky and limos off the road. I need to find a friendlier game now.
