Since 2009, dozens of former leading Scientologists have slunk out of their spider holes to accuse the Church's Ecclesiastical Leader, the Pope of Scientology, Mr David Miscavige, of physical abuse.
However, despite all the recent criticism of Mr Miscavige, international superstar, Mr Tom Cruise, remains steadfastly loyal to Mr Miscavige. Mr Miscavige was Mr Cruise's best man and greatest friend.
Since 2009, many current executives have come out to state that they have never been attacked by Mr Miscavige. Mr Cruise has not joined them in publicly supporting Mr Miscavige since the 2009 developments, but in 2004, Mr Cruise said of Mr Miscavige "I have never met a more competent, intelligent, tolerant, compassionate being, outside of what I have experienced from LRH [L. Ron Hubbard: Scientology's founder]. And I've met the leaders of leaders. I've met them all."
Neither Mr Cruise nor Mr John Travolta, another international superstar Scientologist, have had anything negative to say about Mr Miscavige since the 2009 allegations surfaced. And, they certainly haven't joined the list of critics.
Mr Cruise and Mr Travolta continue to support Mr Miscavige and the Church of Scientology with no thought to their own benefit or career. Others, like "Organic Liaison" Pseudo-Scientologist Kirstie Alley, Paul Haggis, Marty Rathbun, Mike Rinder, and Jason Beghe, are more like aardvarks, who look for ants for themselves, but would do well to follow the example of Scientology's star duo.
The Scientology Code of Honor, which Mr Cruise and Mr Travolta understand, and so few others do, requires that one "Never withdraw allegiance once granted".
