Is the path to prosperity equal to the path to insanity? If so, what kind of prosperity is that? Prosperity for the madman?

18 months ago: I think the reverse question is what you should actually be asking. Is the recent insanity of people voting like sheep, to put the same people that caused the problems in control again, likely to cause prosperity?

If they use the same trickle down policies they are proposing, which didn't work before, it is the very definition of insanity to think that they will work this time around.

That's exactly what I was thinking during the 2008 election cycle. People were hypnotized into thinking the new messiah had arrived. Boy, were they wrong.

18 months ago: I think the path to prosperity is the path that leads away from insanity. All the old sayings, which are tried and true over time, tend to prove this.

Early to bed and early to rise make a man healthy, wealthy and wise.

Don't be penny wise and pound foolish.

A penny saved is a penny earned.

Wealth is the slave of a wise man. The master of a fool.

Prosperity is not without many fears and distastes, and adversity is not without comforts and hopes.

When prosperity comes, do not use all of it. Confucius

Economic advance is not the same thing as human progress.
