To honor the passing of western civilization and to celebrate the visit to Savannah of the First Presidential Puppy, the following inaugural poem is reposted...with apologies to those who already find me trite and childish. Just not particularly sincere apologies.

Obama Inaugural Poem

Harvard lawyer fair,
with nose pushed deep
in Marx's derriere
How we long for thee
to reinvent this land
clap hands clap hands
exalted dude of all
knows better
full of arrogance and gall
shapes image of paternity
town to town
city to city
till all comes crashing down
with banner finally furled
what once was USA
is now third world.

Please feel free to gesticulate and girn according to the Maya Angelou handbook for public exposition.
And also...before anyone responds to how totally preposterous this is, read your copy of "Game Change". One needn't have had laser night vision goggles to have read this posturing preponderance of pusillanimous putty rightly, but it does sure give credence to the argument that in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king. Even the most myopic citizen should have been able to read this dude like Fun with Dick and Jane.
So, if we didn't, whose fault is it, really?
Countries inevitably get the leaders they deserve, so any inference that I consider myself no less deserving of this self aggrandizing embarrassingly transparent thespian reaching vainly for gravitas and bearing, is absurd.

26 months ago: Why does everyone hate Marx so much? The real disgust should be aimed at Stalin or Mao.

Marx simply theorized that issues that arise in society can be explained by looking at class division. Empowering the working people doesn't seem like such a bad thing. The twisted perversion of Communism that was used in the Soviet Union and China has very little do with what Marx was actually talking about.
