From Wikipedia

"Perfect crime is a colloquial term used in law and fiction (principally crime fiction) to characterize crimes that are undetected, unattributed to a perpetrator, or else unsolved as a kind of technical achievement on the part of the perpetrator.
In certain contexts, the concept of perfect crime is limited to just undetected crimes; if an event is ever identified as a crime, some investigators say it cannot be called 'perfect'.
A perfect crime should be distinguished from one that has merely not been solved yet or where everyday chance or procedural matters frustrate a conviction. There is an element that the crime is (or appears likely to be) unable to be solved.

To me the Perfect Crime would be to not only not get caught, but have EVERYBODY know who you are and what you did and still NOT get caught.

It's not like we don't know who these Hedge Fund Managers at the financial instituions of Citigroup, Bank Of America, AIG, JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, GMAC, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, PNC Financial, US Bancorp, Capital One, Regions, American Express, Bank of New York Mellon, State Street and Discover all of whom took TARP funds.

Yes, we know who these billionaires that caused the economic meltdown of the century are and yet unlike regular Bank Robbers that get caught, put trial and sent to prison, these guys not only got to keep what the stole, they got to pay themselves millions in bonuses to do it too.

Yes, we know who these billionaires that put over 15 million Americans out of a job and have been foreclosing on two to three million American homes every year since 2008. They not only took all the middle class jobs and money away, they get to take their property too.

Now I know here in America we have a Prison Overpopulation problem, that we as a country imprison more of our citizens than all the other countries do. However, I bet we could find space in our prisons for these financial criminals if we wanted to. Still none of them were arrested and none of them will ever stand trial. To me at least it sounds like these guys committed The Perfect Crime.

What is ironic was there was an ad featured beside your post, giving the merits of "borrowing money to invest" ...Wow! I can't believe the irony or targeting your post as... "in your face... so what can you do about it?" advertisement. Too funny !:]

They get to make the rules. What Crime? They get to bribe the lawmakers to get the tax breaks, and to kill any rules and regulations that threaten their scams.

They get to spend unlimited amounts of undisclosed funds to determine if their favorite lawmakers are elected.

They had 1500 lobbyists spending a million dollars a day to keep the financial regulatory reform bill from having any teeth. Now they (Their Republican Lackys) are keeping Elizabeth Warren from heading the agency.

You can play the "RSG, My political party can do no wrong" game, no one will take you seriously. You have to acknowledge that both sides seem to be in bed with the enemy. Only then can you focus on actually solving the issue, IMHO.

As has been irrefutably demonstrated, especially by the handling of the finance based crisis, greed, avarice and corruption know no political boundary.
