Introducing the new “KFC Double Down sandwich,” the newest offering from Kentucky Fried Chicken. This is a real product that uses two “Original Recipe” fillets instead of a bun.
I love this quote from the PR guy:
“It's such a meaty chicken sandwich, there's no room for a bun.”
The KFC double down is a little hard to get a hold of right now; it’s in test marketing in Providence, Rhode Island and Omaha, Nebraska.
The new sandwich features two chicken fillets, a pile of pepper jack and Swiss cheese, bacon, and a new “tangy” special sauce from the Colonel himself. One newspaper judges the whole mess to be about 1200 calories.
You might be wondering, like 30 Rock’s Tracy Morgan, “Is it true that bread eats away your brain?”
