The Easter Bunny Hates You!

When I was a kid, before I fully understood that Easter was about Jesus Christ and the resurrection, I enjoyed coloring eggs. Paas Easter egg decorating supplies and I were best friends. The smell of vinegar and hard boiled eggs was something I looked forward to each and every year.

My aunt was always sure to provide me with an Easter Basket too. The basket filled with fake plastic grass was complete with chocolate bunny, everlasting yellow marshmallow chicks, jelly beans, and Cadbury's. My mouth waters just remembering!

Anyway, I came across this video the other day and I almost split in two laughing. I figured I share it with you along with a favorite, seasonal Bugs Bunny cartoon. It's good not to take ourselves so seriously all the time!

Enjoy.

Thanks for reading,

HN

13 months ago: Hi SZ -

Children are so innocent. There are so many qualities they have that many adults have lost and unfortunately may never experience again.

I don't feel warped at all (some may be beg to differ!) because of coloring eggs as a kid or looking forward to Santa coming as a child.

I find it quite healthy for children to expand and use their imaginations. That is one of the things that is so sorely lacking now. Some adults feel it necessary to brow beat the faith and wonder of creation out of children before it even has a chance to develop. That's just sick and disgusting.

"When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things."
I Cor 13:11

I told myself that I was going to keep this one light, so that's all for now.

Thanks for stopping in.

10 months ago: Kudos...applies directly to Santa, the Easter Bunny and Jesus...but "Oh NO"...they (Christians) indoctrinate/program children from the age of one...being the child's protector (supposedly) the child cannot relate to anyone but their parents so they have to believe and relate to whatever their parents input. By 7 years of age they are usually old enough to "THINK FOR THEMSELVES" but, unfortunately, they are already programmed and original thought is squelched by this infant+ programming.

This is why fundamentalist are so hard to convince...they heard it on the knee, thats the truth, and thats that.

Children raised without any religious indoctrination usually do not choose any religion...fact.

An unblemished child is going to see the Jesus story for what it is: God for adults...total hogwash in other words.

and now Jesus!

What won't you folks dream up next?

An invisible, magical, powerful, zombie that can fly...gosh.

Well thank goodness, no one but a child would believe anything that silly, and those that do will readily identify themselves as all the kooks and crazies in our society...sayyyy, why don't we make them wear something like a star or a cross so we can readily identify them in our everyday lives?

10 months ago: Owlafaye,

You said... First Santa Then the Easter Bunny and now Jesus!" ...do you know how dumb that sounds? It is like saying a historical person, that the entire world attests, didn't exist... dude you a dud. Next you are going to say is Muhammad didn't exist or Pontius Pilate...

Empirical evidence for the existence of Jesus please.

Best of all,

-he will not even attempt to post any evidence for the existence of his zombie friend in the sky.
-he will claim that the dioctionary definitions don't apply to Jesus because Jesus is a God...laughter
-he may just get everyone to "Flag This Comment" so he doesn't get turned inside out once again.

The best answer for tyruthbrary is to "claim that it is true because it says so in the Bible" and he will cap "SAYS SO IN THE BIBLE"

All the proof anyone needs is a changed life. IF you woke up tomorrow and your life was changed by Jesus Christ would you know it? I am sure you would. That is what happened to me, after I gave Jesus Christ a chance in my life... after living as His enemy and mocker. Let me know how it works out for you.

Non-existent:

God
any God
Jesus
devil
demons
spirits
magical objects
holy books
magic spells (prayer)
guilt
shame
indecent thoughts
did I mention prayer? Nothing Fails Like Prayer
Easter bunny
tooth fairy
santa
elvis alive
hell
heaven
afterlife

NONE of the above are real, none can be demonstrated to be true.

If you fall back on faith and belief you fall back on nebulous constructs you have enhanced and elevated to the status of Truth and Fact...whereas it takes a lot of foolishness to believe in anything on the above lsit.

You are without any facts whatsoever...get going, life is short
10 months ago: Owlafaye or should I say Dwayne Johnson,

"Josephus on Jesus...
Josephus writes of a Jewish sect led by James the Just, whom he calls the brother of Jesus. Josephus' history includes sections on John the Baptist, the High Priest Annas, Pontius Pilate, and Jesus called the Messiah... In those parts of the Testimonium that are commonly regarded as authentic, Josephus describes Jesus as a teacher and miracle worker, attracting a large following who revered him after his death; but, other than James, Josephus names none of the founders of the Church"

10 months ago: Wikipedia? laughter...Obviously your scanty information otherwise is just the same...information obtained from the Christian Press out there truthbrary, is based on Christian wishes and distorted facts...

Josephus and his Messiah rap, has been analyzed a million different ways and is conclusively an insertion/forgery.

But then, for you to claim Josephus as "proof" of Jesus' existence means the very basic facts surrounding Josephus are something you are not aware of.

Josephus was born AFTER the supposed crucifixition you dim-wit

Anything Josephus says is therefore known as "hearsay"...a better understanding of the word "hearsay" is available in a secular DICTIONARY...tattoo tha on your forearm you dim wit.

10 months ago: Further explanation for the dim-witted: Josephus being born after Christ died means that he never experienced Christ in the living flesh, therefore anything he may have wrote about this purported Christ came from others. Anything others say to you and you record, it is a hearsay record and not necessarily based on fact but on the subjective interpretation or just a plain fabrication...none of it can be substantiated.

It has become clear to religious historians for a long long long time that attempts to validate a Jesus 2000 years ago are mostly found in forgeries and false/later insertions in what little historical record there is for early Christianity.

You have to remember that Nicea was especially called for the EXPRESS PURPOSE of altering and re-editing the Bible to suit the participants and the desires of the church, not to collate and organize the extant but to tailor it so that it became believable and substantiated the claim of a Jesus Christ...mostly just that...validate Jesus.

So a lot of the gospels are written by many people as computer evidence indicates...many gospels were rejected...most of the new testament is written by a myriad of unknown people...certainly not by a God...laughter

Christians construct their beliefs and then go out and try to find evidence to support their beliefs. This is why the Christian community gets all excited when something like the James Ossuary comes along...they exclaim: m Finally, someone has found proof of Jesus' existence!!! Hurray. They grab the ossuary and send it on a world tour and never pay any attention to the fact that everyone associated with the discovery of this "James Ossuary" were eventually put in jail for fraud and extortion...It is probably still on tour and if you saw it you believe it because "they" said it was so...lots of stupid people out there and lots of them are Christians.
10 months ago: ()wlafaye,

I don't mind responding to your assertions of conspiracy, you say "for the EXPRESS PURPOSE of altering and re-editing the Bible to suit the participants and the desires of the church" ...because I know that intellegent people will be reading this and may truly want the truth and have their questions answered. SO here goes...

The best argument against collaboration or conspiracy, is the very evidence provided by the same side against Biblical accuracy... any textural discrepancies prove the lack of tampering, and the overall harmonization of particular stories prove authenticity. IF a particular part of the Bible lacks a word or a slight difference in perception, this proves the lack of tampering because the re-writers could easily have adjusted the wording to make it read correct. However, the Bible still contains these slight differences and this proves not only it is unhampered... but it reveals we have the raw data penned with "typos" included.

You can't have it both ways. IF you say the work of the Bible is inaccurate because of a "telephone game" ...you can't say that conspirators stacked the deck in there favor, corrupting the text to substantiate their beliefs. Furthermore... the text that we do have is especially hard on those who may have had an opportunity to do so (like the Vatican), so were is the motive? The more one digs into the history... the more one proves Biblical accuracy and content. The following is a bit to chew on...

"There are over 24,000 old manuscripts, that is hand written
copies, of portions of the New Testament (NT) today. Over 5,000 of
these old manuscripts are in Greek, the language the NT was written
in. Many manuscripts are in Latin, Syriac, or another language."

...when you are done with that let me know, there is more, lots more!

Remember: 50% of the people are below average intelligence and most of them believe in Jesus.

10 months ago: Owlafaye,

I can't argue with the fact that there are stupid Christians... some would say that I am one of them, for trying to answer your drivel. You said... "50% of the people are below average intelligence and most of them believe in Jesus" ...it makes me wonder with those stats, why you aren't included among those who believe... you have the "intelligence" part in your favor to believe. All joking aside, I don't mind those odds, if that is the way it is... there is hope for me yet !:]

A nine nine niner is the simble of the debil, and should be avoided as much as the six six sixer.

And Intel is the maker of computer parts. Or it could be short for Intelligence.

Now if you are referring to Intertel, and just had a "senior moment" (wink wink), well that's a little club for insecure idiots who happen to be good at taking tests. A high IQ and being right about some issue do not correlate highly.
