Giant holes exist throughout the world.

A giant diamond hole in South Africa was dug by hand.

A giant hole in the ocean floor of Belize is incredibilty blue and deep.

There is a giant "glory hole" in a lake in California that is sucking an inordinate amount of water below a dam there.

There is an incredible sink hole that swallowed up most of a neighborhood and killed several people.

23 months ago: The mine looks just like Butte Montana. I saw it while still operating and those huge dump trucks looked like the period at the end of this sentence. Course they will reclaim it. Hah! In Butte they just stopped the pumps and let the water level rise. Now it is a lake contaminated by heavy metals and all kinds of toxic tailings, that are contaminating everyone's wells.

The National Debt is huge and 90% of it was created by Republicans because they believe the fairy tail that you can raise revenue by giving it away in tax breaks to the rich. There is no way on earth that we can reduce the debt except by raising taxes, and the middle class is already tapped out while the richest 400 that make at least $138 in one year are only paying 16.6% taxes. Historically the rich paid an average of 70% and during times of war (like now) they paid 90%.

How long are the people going to shoulder an unfair burden, while the rich are giving each other million dollar bonuses for screwing the rest of us?

Now do you understand why we have such a huge deficit? You can't balance the budget if those most able to pay, are running the country, and bribing the Congress, so they don't have to pay their fair share.

23 months ago: Red if you give the middle class tax breaks they will go out and buy stuff and it will indeed generate more revenue, and create jobs.

When you give tax breaks to the rich, since they already have all of the fancy crap that you can imagine, they just put that money in off shore accounts or buy a 5th mansion in the South of France. Because revenue remains constant if you give the rich a break you have to pay for it by taxing the middle class more by increased state and local taxes and fees. This makes them even tighter with their money, factories close, and people loose their jobs.

You on the right are clueless dupes of the rich and powerful who own Fox and pay Rush, Glen Beck, and the rest of hate radio, multimillion dollar salaries so they can tell you how to think. They are continuously telling you to do things that weaken you, make life harder for you and are not in your best interests, but rather things that will further the power and the wealth of the rich.

You are nothing but puppets on strings that they control with PR and Propaganda. Wake Up Red!

I thought you guys were For Tax Cuts. How come none of the Republicans are voting for tax cuts for the Middle Class? Because they are all pawns of the rich and the corporations that is why.

23 months ago: I want to get on that bus, the one where you get back more than you paid in taxes. I'm too old and have too much income to get earned income credit like a lot of young people with kids. I never got back several thousand more than I paid in, if I had, I might have been able to get ahead while I was still young and trying to raise a family. Now I'm in the lower middle class tax bracket and have more going out than coming in. Well at least my creditors would like for me to pay them, but since I don't have it to pay them with, default city here I come!

Anyhoo, who do we really blame for the state of our federal budget? I'm like a lot of people; I'm going to blame the rich. They stole the money from the corporations that bankrupted those corporations causing them to lose money and then fail putting thousands out of work while the rich kept all they had stole plus got to cash in their golden parachutes, literally billions of dollars given to people who already had more money than they could ever spend in their and their children's lifetimes. Yeah, I blame the rich.

As for that 5th mansion in the south of France. Sorry, they aren't going to buy the building materials in the US where the money came from and the workers will be locals who don't commute from the US nor do they spend money in the US, they don't even buy US made goods since their own country produces plenty of stuff that they need to live in the same house their great great great grandpa built out of field stone and mud, they don't even drive or own a car! Why do you think it is so cheap to live there!!!

If a rich man had to spend the same percentage of his income to live comfortably and actually paid his workers a decent wage AND gave bonuses that compared to what the rich CEOs, CFOs, COOs and all the other fat cats at the top of a business get, I might be a bit more forgiving. I just can't in good conscience condone a 10 million dollar bonus to someone who drove a business into ruin and there have been way too many of those.
