Shell Oil Credit Card Issuer Sticks it to the Customer

Most of you know that I'm disabled and poor. You do not know my wife as she doesn't post here. She is just as poor as I since her employer doesn't pay her very well. Our combined income is enough to put us in the lower middle class bracket but our debt load is considerable due to raising four children and sending them to college and the loss of my normal income after being injured in a fall.

Well Shell Oil Company just sent my wife a letter informing her that they were canceling her Shell Oil Credit Card because we owe too much money to other creditors. We aren't behind on the Shell card, only owe them about $120.00 and have been paying extra every month to zero it out.

What makes these rich jerks think that this will be good for business? How is this going to reflect on their loyalty to their customer opinion polls?

It wouldn't be so bad but every time an issuer cancels the customers account, it reflects negatively upon the customer, not the issuer. Maybe there is a lawsuit in there, a bit of slander of my wife's good name..... or could be libel since it is printed upon her credit report.....

I have a feeling that my little rant here will do very little but maybe it will encourage others to boycott all Shell outlets and stop using their credit card. They might even read it.

I had one card issuer cut my credit line in half because I didn't use it enough. So I called them to cancel the other half.

They (other cards) nailed me several times by moving it a day or two earlier, at 39 bucks a late fee it really adds up and they weren't so nice as to admit it was their changing the date that caused it. Some day I will get them all paid off and then they will be gone, all but two, even though it would be nice to never use one again I know it is the easiest way to keep credit established, especially since I don't have a mortgage..
