What do we even know about Obama?

When Obama talked about his belief in God, Creation of the Universe from nothing, and his belief in the Bible... everyone, that is everyone on the Democrat side, knew he was pandering to the crowd. When Obama talked about marriage only between a man and a woman... everyone, that is everyone on the Democrat side, knew he was pandering to the crowd. When Obama talked about reducing spending... everyone, that is everyone on the Democrat side, knew he was pandering to the crowd. When Obama talks about anything... everyone, that is everyone on the Democrat side, knows he is pandering to the crowd! And this is the difference between Barack Obama and Rick Santorum!

People are phobic of Rick Santorum because he tells the truth! The very thing that they are mocking Santorum about will come back and bite them in the butt... because they can clearly see it is time for a Rick Santorum!

"When Barack Obama was campaigning for president in 2008, he declared that marriage is between a man and a woman. For the most part, his position was treated as a nonissue.
Now Rick Santorum is campaigning for president. He too says that marriage is between a man and a woman. What a different reaction he gets.
There's no mystery why. Mr. Santorum is attacked because everyone understands that he means what he says.
President Obama, by contrast, gets a pass because everyone understands—nudge nudge, wink wink—that he's not telling the truth. The press understands that this is just one of those things a Democratic candidate has to say so he doesn't rile up the great unwashed." The Wall Street Journal, columnist William McGurn

IF Obama said he believed in God and all his Creation, that too would include the Devil and every Angel, pitted in a spiritual war of good and evil. The problem is that some cannot distinguish anymore that difference... especially those pandering to the crowd! Gone are the days of family and values, of love and peace... today all one can expect is rhetoric that panders to fads and special interest groups. I say that if Rick Santorum continues on this course of defining right and wrong... and openly discussing his spiritual side... Santorum will win the presidency hands down!

People like truthful tenacity, the kind that stands strong in the face of mockers and malcontents. And the best part of all is Santorum isn't pandering to the crowd. Anyone can see Rick Santorum is an honest stand-up guy conservative or not.

3 months ago: You are very optimistic.

While this country still has some baseline values and understanding of what a a marriage was designed to be, what a true family is and what is basically right and wrong, it's fallen way off course.

That's why Obama can go from Saddle Back to Brokeback and it is a non-issue.

Mammon rules the Left and the Right. Presidential politics is all about money and power. If folks get help along the way it just so they can maintain that position.

Many folks are more concerned with their next paycheck than to care to be concerened about who marries what or who gets flushed down the toilet for convenience or the screwed up sexuality of the Pre-K teacher who happens to be a man yet has breasts, and wears a dress and lip stick.

I hope that we can just get a back a little closer to center from the extreme left that our nations are at now. And anyone like Santorum that is taking a stand for his faith, even to his own hurt, is probably a step in the right direction.

If Santorum can lead without basing his decisions on "what God wants", then he's the man for the job. If not, then he should get a job as a religious leader.

If we allow a person to lead us based on his interpretation of God's will, what will we do if we ever elect an openly practicing Muslim, or even an openly Atheist, Humanist, or Satanist?

The push-pull of the political pendulum has become increasingly long of arc lately. We went from extreme left to extreme right, back to extreme left, and now are pushing back as far as we can to extreme right again.

The thing about pendulums is that the further you push it in one direction, the further to the opposite direction it will travel, and much less force is needed to get it moving.
2 months ago: Does it have to be that only Atheists can be presidents? I think a man with morals and a hope in God would make a strong leader, and able to be touched by the afflictions of his nation's people. Every decision is a religious one...

".... if we ever elect an openly practicing Muslim, or even an openly Atheist, Humanist, or Satanist?"

Give it time. Though I don't believe we will be around to see it.

Pray for the future generations and sow as much Word into them as possible. They are going to be in the minority here and they are going to need it more than we ever did.

2 months ago: I think what a man believes weighs heavily on his abilities to make sound decisions... like if he is trustworthy and moral. Everyone bashes Rick Santorum for saying things he believes the devil may be trying to destroy; yet give a free-pass to Obama and his beliefs that he is a valid president; or Romney's belief in Mormonism.
