The right wing reflexively criticizes President Obama for whatever he does. Often without even considering the merits or the facts.

Rush Limbaugh recently demonstrated this trend by criticizing Obama's sending 100 troops to Uganda to protect civilians from one of the most horrendous terrorists groups in history.

Rush said that Obama sent troops to fight "The Lord's Resistance Army. He said that the LRA were Christian and that they fought Muslims. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/gregory-al...

To be fair it is an easy mistake to make. The Republicans are masters at naming things with the opposite meaning. Reagan started by naming an offensive missile "the Peacekeeper" Bush named "the Clean Air Act" which would allow coal companies to spew pollution and mercury into the air, and "the Healthy Forest Initiative" which would have allowed clear cuts everywhere. http://www.emagazine.com/archive/2322

Language matters, and the terrorists might have learned from the Republicans by having a great sounding name and statement of purpose. But hacking off limbs, torture, rape and murder of children are not doing the Lords work. http://www.irinnews.org/InDepthMain.aspx...

In the simple minded black and white world of the Republicans all Christians are good and all Muslims are bad so Rush's ignorance is sort of understandable, except that the LRA also worked for the Muslims and slaughtered Christians. http://www.theatlantic.com/international...

But reflexive hatred of Obama and ignorance of facts doesn't really constitute support of terrorists. However the main financial supporters of the Tea Party and one of the main sponsors of all things anti-Obama did support terrorists. http://theweek.com/article/index/206405/...

We now know that Iran recently attempted to assinate a Saudi Ambassador here in the US. They have also been helping to kill Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan. Because of that, there are sanctions against Iraq and American firms are not allowed to trade with Iraq, but the Koch brothers did just that.

Now it turns out that Herman Cain who happens to be the top of the chart in the Republican flavor of the week club is nothing but a paid puppet of the Koch brothers. http://www.registerguard.com/web/newsloc...

We had Bush with close family ties to Osama Bin Laden, the Koch Brothers ties to Iran, and now Rush Limbaugh defending the LRA. You really have to ask if they are serious about protecting America and the helpless of the world, or are they just in it for the oil, or money?

Based on the transcript, at the end of the show it seems someone had informed Limbaugh about the LRA.

"Is that right? The Lord's Resistance Army is being accused of really bad stuff? Child kidnapping, torture, murder, that kind of stuff?" he said.

"Well, we just found out about this today. We're gonna do, of course, our due diligence research on it. But nevertheless we got a hundred troops being sent over there to fight these guys — and they claim to be Christians."

As far as ties go, look at JFK and his ties to a known bootlegger (his father), Carter and his ties to Saddam Hussein, (supported Hussein's invasion if Iran, to overthrow the Mullahs), Clinton and his ties to Moscow and also Chinese espionage, Gore had family connections to the late Soviet agent Armand Hammer, whose father Julius laundered money to establish the first Soviet espionage networks in the United States, and Obama and his ties to domestic terrorists.

~~Care to explain how these two are "worse" than Limbaugh, Beck or O'Reilly? To me they are all equally bad for America (although Limbaugh, Beck and O'Reilly are far worse in terms of hatemongering).

Now, Iran is openly saying they have the materials and the missiles to deliver long range nuclear weapons to anywhere in Europe or Asia. I guess our missile defense shield in Eastern Europe might have stopped them, ...oh wait, Obama said we didn't need it, so it never got built.

So slapping the back of Iran's hand didn't work, so we're gonna put them in time-out. Uh, that means they can do pretty much whatever they want in secret, since they will be even more isolated from prying eyes. Smart move, Obama.

Rachel Madow is excellent at researching her topics BEFORE going on the air. Keith is a bit more excitable but none are worse or even close to the bombast of Rush.

If you want to go back in history The Koch fortune was started by their father who dealt with Stalin. My subtle point was that people should be judged by their actions not by some chance encounter long ago as Obama was tarred by Aires.

I know that the right wing would have invaded Iran a long time ago (remember McCain's Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran?) They don't realize that invading Iran would be twice as hard as Iraq.

With Obama's new foreign policy we do not act unilaterally without international support.

I think the new laws should also be that we do not go to war without having a "War Tax" of 90% on the rich to keep them from war profiteering, as we did in all of the wars but Bush's. If we are serious enough to want to put our blood and treasure at risk we should have All the people behind that war and we should share all of the sacrifice as we did during WWII. We should have a draft, and the war should be paid for instead of passing the bill onto future generations as Bush did.

What is the title of this piece? "Rush and the Right is Wrong - Again!"

I knew what the Lord's Resistance Army was doing a year ago.

I'm assuming Obama is sending in troops as part of a multi-national, UN backed effort to eradicate this barbarism? No?

I cite the opening sentence in this post....Altruist and Perfect do you need the link?

The right wing reflexively criticizes President Obama for whatever he does.

Perfect Hemorrhoid? You do agree with a honest consuious?

You are a sad, stupid pathetic little man with no spine. You have no ground to stand on, so you spend your time lashing out at those who are smarter and more logical than you because they make you feel like a tiny person.

Yes, and the Left also reflexively criticizes the Right. This article is case in point. Rush Limbaugh mis-spoke, blithered on about something he had no clue about, and the Left is using it as an opportunity to demonstrate that fully 1/2 of the population of the US is gullible, ignorant, racist, fill in your stereotype of the week, which the Left/Statist talking heads will be ever-so-glad to supply for your next Rant.

30 months ago: In the past there were a few Republicans in Congress that were willing to do what is right for the country rather than what their party bosses decreed. Now all of the moderates have been run out of the party and party discipline is strictly enforced so that almost all important votes have 100% of the right doing the wrong thing.

I like to give credit when due and even Bush did a few things right. He did create the largest ocean refuges to date. That doesn't mean I won't attack him because 99% of what he did was harmful. I have also been a defender of most of Obama's plans and those of the Democratic party but have also criticized Obama because he filled his cabinet with wall street folk, has the CEO of GE as his job's czar, and because almost all of his policies have originated with and pandered to the right.

My posts have been consistent in advocating justice, altruism, equal rights, women's rights, protection of the environment, and what is right for the 99% and I have consistently opposed tyranny, repression, racism, intolerance and exploitation of the weak by the powerful. How does that make me hypocritical?
30 months ago: In the past, those RINO's helped get us into this mess to start with.

It ain't "wrong" what we want done.

Uh...er...Al, Cypress and I are more of the 99% of Americans that you are.

We agree Obama is the worst president EVER.

No Al, you know it all. You support tyranny. That is what we must defeat.

"It ain't "wrong" what we want done"
~What do you want done? I have been trying to get a real answer out of you for nearly a year, I don't want Palin and Bachmann's talking points..what do YOU want done, can you lay out a plan for us to hear?

Obama is far from the worst president ever: Hoover, Ulysses S Grant, Nixon, Buchanan, Kennedy, W. Bush, Carter...that's a long list of impressively terrible presidents.

I would like an honest clarification on where and how Al supports tyranny? I have yet to see that. (Unless you mean by wanting to tax the rich. I always find it odd when poor people from the backwoods complain about how evil it is to tax the rich and cut off the social programs that they themselves live off of and are willing to increase their own tax burden to "protect" the rich people that have ZERO interest in helping anyone but themselves).
