The Republican Governor Rick Snyder of Detroit Michigan plans to close half the schools in Detroit Michigan. That means there will be 60 or more kids to a class and half the teacher will be let go. Is this really the best time to fire people? I would think there are other places they could cut and save jobs. Again the Republicans are working real hard to put the unemployed back to work. What's going on? What you're seeing is the domino or trickle-down effect: There are fewer and fewer jobs. No job means no income. No income means no tax revenue. No tax revenue translates into the end of public services, which includes schools. And the sad thing is this is being done purposely By the Republican Party. What will be next Police and firemen? This all is happening just because our government can't do there jobs right so the middle class and poor have to pay the bill. Check out my other page on Detroit. Is This the Future of America

14 months ago: The corporate conservative regressives have proven that with unlimited money and their own propaganda machine they can convince more than half of the people in the country to vote for those that destroyed the economy and who are shifting tax burdens onto the middle class by giving huge tax breaks to the rich and corporations.

Their goal is to destroy the economy so they can blame it all on Obama and thus get back in total control again. The politicians only listen to those who contribute to their campaigns the most, and the poor and the middle class don't count.

Hurting education is incredibly short sighted, but the Republican's propaganda machine is dependent on the ignorant believing the nonsense they make up. Who needs science and facts? They believe that evolution and climate change are lies anyway.

Part of the reason they are attacking teachers is to kill all unions because the unions are the only ones giving big money to the Democrats. 7 out of 10 top funding sources were big corporations supporting the Republicans. 3 of the top 10 were unions supporting Democrats. Without Union support the Republicans eliminate all competition.

The Republican leaders have already stated that their number one priority is to beat Obama in the next election and destroying the economy and eliminating our Democracy are tools to do that.

14 months ago: The Republicans are attacking all of the social programs that help the poor because their constituency doesn't need those programs. They attack public schools because they can afford private schools, they attack planned parenthood because their ideological base doesn't care about women who's lives are put to risk, or even the unborn, because the lack of contraceptives and alternatives to abortion will result in more abortions. They oppose peace because their corporate sponsors get rich with everlasting war. They oppose health care because their corporate sponsors get rich by keeping us sick. To the Republicans Politics is war, and winning is more important to them than anything else. Destruction of the nation isn't as important as the next election.
