As a Christian, I am getting mad. I am tired of being represented by men who have twisted the word of God for their own means. I cannot even say I am a Christian now thanks to you. You have made faith a joke, in the main stream of society. People say we are hypocrites. With good cause. You all talk the talk, well enough, but, you do not walk in truth.

Jesus hated religion. He would be ashamed of those of us who say we are christians, who say we love Jesus. Then go around telling everybody what they should and should not do.

Jesus called us to live by example, not by words. Many of us need to learn to "shut up".

I want the world to know that true followers of Jesus. True men and women and children who love God, Do Not Act like this. It is wrong.

It is up to us to pray for the world, walk in faith, not talk in faith. Our words are to lift others up, not to tear others down. Not to make it seem like only we know what is right or wrong. Heaven forbid, are we "God".

Christians who love Jesus, who know Him, do not behave like this. We do not condemn. We do not act like we know it all. For we know only what God has shown us. None of us are better then anyone else.

We walk in faith and our words are kind. Our attitudes humble, our spirits gentle.

24 months ago: Condemnation and judgement often times are two totally different things.

We can judge situations, circumstances and/or individuals and yet not condemn them. We have to do this on a regular basis just in order to survive on this planet.

I agree that Jesus did not come here to create a religion.

He did not bleed, suffer, die and resurrect so we could go to church on Sunday and then live like the devil the rest of the week. Throw in a self-righteous attitude and now you have the Christian Religion.

Sloppy lives and raggedy testimonies followed-up with self-righteous attitudes, turns the world off, and rightly so.

We are to live on another level. A level that clearly demonstrates our hook up with the Lord through our very lives and not just our mouths.

It's not always easy, but we have not been called to easy.
24 months ago: thanks Huey

My intent was not to criticize believers just those who claim to be, yet even in that I was wrong. I should shut up!!

Peace Be With You

The hypocrisy of the "Moral Majority" who condemned those of us who fought against war, and intruded into the bedrooms of the world, is outrageous. There are a thousand different Christian Sects in the country and they all delight in telling those of us who do not subscribe to their obscure mythology, that we are going to burn in hell.

Jesus was a wise man and his followers in the first 300 years after he died, lived simple peaceful lives. They gave away their fortunes, lived in communes, helped the poor, and refused to fight even when attacked.

Then the establishment took over the religion, burned many if not most of the texts that did not support their narrow vision of the world, and merged with the Jewish religion, and with the official religions of Rome, (Sol Invictus and Mithraism). From then on Christianity was more about power than love.

Is there not a war going on right now? No reason to fight anymore, huh?

Intruded into bedrooms, huh? It's more like some (but not all) homosexuals jumped up and down screaming "Look at me! Look at me!"

No Al. You do not understand Christianity's message. You're not listening....on purpose. (I'm praying for you.)

2000 years ago, everybody lived simple lives. And it was the church that tried communal living. They noticed something you are refusing to notice. IT DIDN'T WORK, so they tried something else.

We're all sinners Al. Every last soul.

Gross generalization.

There is no delight to be found regarding anyone who leaves this life in a lost state as far as I am concerned.

Personally, I have no use for Christianity as a religion. Never have and never will.

24 months ago: Nope.

Ever heard of that shining village on the hill?
