Quizno's is a fast food chain that sells sandwiches also known as subway sandwiches.
The current campaign, with the semi-cute kittens dressed up in creepy weird brass band uniforms looks kinda sweet, if you happen to catch it
without sound.
However, if you make the mistake of turning the sound on before the commercial is over, the sound is about as unpleasant as the sound your pet hamster would make after he got his knees pierced.
Your dog will howl regardless, when he hears these "cats" screeching. What a lovely sound that will be, compared to the soundtrack on this horrendously awful ad. Seattle-based ad agency WongDoody created maximum crapness.
Has the Ad Agency responsible for this gone completely bonkers? Were the creatives seriously sitting there, during the recording session and giving themselves a congratulatory pat on the back? Did they spike the client's drinks with roofies during the approval process?
The only explanation could be this: bad press is worse than no press. The cat-awful ad is so rotten, you want to throw bricks through the store windows. And torch it afterward simply to avoid ever having to see any commercials by this fast food chain again.
But surely, the intention could not have been to annoy the customers so much that they secretly want to resort to riots? Giving Britney Spears 24/7 access to their public restrooms would have been way more effective. A kind of reality tv ad: Which Quizno's toilet will Britney use next?
PS I can't believe the ad is available on youtube.
