It is unthinkable that our Country could fall into the hands of sharks that are circling relentlessly to feed off of our freedoms and entitlements.
These sharks in the form of politicians are out to destroy America's essence of pride and uniqueness that once upon a time was ours alone. The untiring, selfish efforts of many politicians on a fast track to take over and keep power in their hands have been evident through their arrogant actions. Bit by bit and piece by piece power mania has been chipping away at our society, conveniently shutting us down by silencing our voices. They put a gag on us and blind side us by moving quickly and putting into law the changes that they want.
We have given up the choosen course of our lives by sacrificing for the bad judgment and constant verbal battling that only benefits their Party. Winning is the only thing in their heads. Their heads are empty of freedoms and entitlements for the people. I don't think it is about fixing anything or salvaging what is left. We have become nothing more than pawns. People have been enduring long-winded speeches by narcissistic leaders and would-be politicians with excessive enthusiasm and little knowledge of our Country. They are flawless in their own minds and can do no wrong. They live in a bubble world and don't care about the rest of us. Not everyone believes in what they are selling. We are second in technology and our industries are in decline. Things are not going well for us, Between very expensive wars and high debt, less progress has been made. We are in decline and have become stagnate. After the President made his speech about creating jobs, I would like to think there is some hope. This remains to be seen, especially, with an overwhelming unemployment rate.
Recently I was taken back by a college student saying he didn't pay any attention to politics and knew nothing about what was going on in our Country or World. He didn't even know that NYC is under a terrorist threat alert. What is this country coming to. We have to educate our youth before they let their lives and America, which they will inherit some day, slip through their fingers. I have heard others say that their excuse for not going into the military because they want to take combat to the street where the problems really are. Who are these people? These remarks sicken me. Meanwhile our troops are fighting to keep everyone from harms way. People are becoming more ignorant than ever to issues that influence everyone's lives. Something has to be done to reach the students to let them know how important it is for them to take part and show responsibility.
