There are many places you shouldn't stick your finger, like electric sockets and rattlesnakes mouths, and let us not forget gas tanks. A man in Saginaw, Michigan learned this lesson the hard way, as he was adding a fuel additive, and a piece of paper fell into the tank and he decided to fish it out with his finger. Mistake, as the paper stayed, and so did his finger.
The man tried to get the finger out himself for all of 2 hours before his friends finally called for some help, and it took another 2 hours for the fire department to cut the gas tank tube out of the vehicle, and remove the man's finger.
The man had to get a couple of stitches, and the car needed a bit more surgery to get back to working conditions. The man did learn an important lesson, to let someone else add the additive next time. He also was smart enough not to light a match after for a much needed cigarette, you could only imagine how flammable a finger marinated in a gas tank could be after 4 hours. It would be a good party trick though!
The YouTube video and links follow a similar story involving a teenage kid, worth watching for a good laugh as well. People do the craziest things.
