Police in Georgia are investigating the claim that a 20 year old college student has said that she was sexually assaulted by Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. The alleged attack occurred at a Georgia nightclub.
Ben Roethlisberger who was the Super Bowl MVP in last year's game is accused of assaulting the young woman early last Friday evening. The Pittsburgh Steeler quarterback is not currently charged.
High profile attorney Ed Garland who represents Ben Roethlisberger has indicated that there was no "criminal activity" and the Pittsburgh Steeler quarterback is "completely innocent of any crime." The attorney for Roethlisberger has seemed to indicate that there was no sexual assault.
The police chief of the Georgia college town said on Monday that the investigation was under way and he had hoped that his detectives would get to interview Ben Roethlisberger in the next couple of days.
