The people continue to line up to scam a few dollars off of Michael Jackson’s death.
Numerology is the study of numbers to determine a person’s life and his or her future. It is utterly hogwash. The idea that you should “consult the numbers,” that you were “born on a two day,” or have a “six life path” is fraudulently idiotic.
Here’s a nice case for you to read and shake your head over: Professional BS-er Glynis McCants has run the numerology on Michael Jackson (who is conveniently dead, and can’t sue her for libel) and discovered that he “was born on a two day” and he led a “six life path” – thus, he was a superstar.
For example:
- MJ was discovered when he was 5 years old.
- He was a member of the Jackson 5.
- Michael had planned a spooky 50 concert dates before he died on June 25, having aged 50 years.
OBVIOUSLY, he was a "5" person, which clearly explains why he was “born on a two day” and had a “six life path.” There’s a whole story up at CNN.com full of hogwash like this – and the story’s tone is very serious. It’s funny.
McCants has magically divined others that fit her “six life path” theory: Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and Sarah Palin all were “born on a two day,” so they were thrust into the public realm.
The YouTube video to the left tears apart the MJ/numerology theories. TMZ claims Michael was a "7" person.
Uh huh. Why doesn’t this numerology expert predict a future superstar, instead of cherry-picking facts to fit her theory?
It’s absurd to think that the day a person was born on would predict his or her future, but the practitioners and true believers of numerology continue to shell out money to frauds for cold readings. It’s really quite sad.
Remember, folks, it can be fun to pretend that random occurrences predict the future, but the minute someone asks you to pay for their predictions, they are trying to scam you. Don’t be fooled.
