To others he is simply another annoying media icon meant to distract us from the real issues in life.

Regardless of your opinion of Punxsutawney Phil, his latest revelation is of importance to us all.

Punxsutawney Phil has forecast six centuries of Nuclear Winter all across the Northern Hemisphere.

Punxsutawney Phil has predicted that millions will die because of the Fukushima Disaster in Japan.

13 months ago: PD, would you explain why you chose the term Nuclear Winter for your latest disaster? So far you have shut down NASA and all nuclear power plants. Shouldn't we be putting an end to oil and and gas drilling, intercontinental jet travel, cell phone towers (they kill bees and will ruin crops), sex (you know, the whole AIDS thing) and artificial sweeteners?

But I know you aren't insinuating the nuclear power plant disaster has anything to do with the latest winter storms here in the US. Are you?

Can you point me in the direction of your sources?

Do you even KNOW what "nuclear winter" IS????

Oh, and this is not about alleged "artistic/poetic license". You asserted something that I and I suspect others would consider to be factually inaccurate.

If you did so out of ignorance of what the term really means, I will educate you. If you deliberately asserted something you know to be factually inaccurate then you, sir, are a liar. That's right. You are a clear quill, uncut, unabashed, bald-faced LIAR!

Oh, and while you are shutting things down, why are you not decrying the VERY REAL holocaust being wrought upon bats and birds by wind farms? In Great Britain the wind turbines are driving some species of bats to the edge of extinction. Since those bats are insectivores, the loss of so many predators upon insects had very real potential to cause problems and even death for Human Beings.

Over to you, "liar, liar, pants on fire". What have you to say?

Oh, and least there is some real science behind the groundhog day thing. Look it up.

When Punxsutawney Phil saw four shadows of himself and returned to his hole, Phil-ologists realized that the rodent's fear of four shadows meant six more centuries of Nuclear Winter all across the Northern Hemisphere.
