The personal physician of Michael Jackson pleaded not guilty and is currently being held on $75,000 bail concerning the pop star’s recent death. Dr. Conrad Murray who is a Houston cardiologist who was with Michael Jackson on June 25, the day he died. Conrad entered his plea in Los Angeles Superior Court after he was charged with a five page complaint that included ““did unlawfully, and without malice, kill Michael Joseph Jackson” by acting “without due caution and circumspection.”

The doctor is accused of giving Michael Jackson a powerful general anesthetic and other drugs to help the pop star rest. Murray has stated he had done nothing to cause Jackson to die. If convicted he could be facing four years in prison and lose his license.

“Looking for justice,” was all Jackson’s father, Joe Jackson, said as he walked past a crowd of reporters and into the courthouse for the preceding.

Michael Jackson was given Propofol and two other sedatives to help with his chronic insomnia. Propofol is also known as “milk of amnesia” and should have been only administered by an anesthesia professional. Murray appears to have obtained the drug legally and its use is not in itself a crime.

At the time of his death, Jackson was in good health and had no illegal drugs in his system, according to a recent autopsy report. Michael Jackson had a strong heart and most other major organs were normal.
