Recently Romney came to Vegas to receive the blessing of Donald Trump.

Most of the other Republicans running for President also made their obeisance to Trump. Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, Mitt Romney, Herman Cain, and Sarah Palin, all met with Trump during their campaigns looking for support or an endorsement.

Why? A Fox poll found that only 6% of people would be more willing to vote for someone endorsed by Trump while 41.4% said they would be less likely to vote for someone with Trump's endorsement. http://www.mediaite.com/online/facebookp...

So why is everyone making the trip to kiss Trumps, "ring"? Are they all just begging for some of his money? Is Trump a mafia Don who can make or break the candidate of choice? It is almost as if they consider him a King, and come to him hoping to be granted some title of Nobility.

What after all is Nobility? It is defined by the New English dictionary as a socially or politically privileged class whose titles are conferred by descent or by royal decree.

When the founders of this nation crafted the Constitution it was meant to prevent the abuses of power in Europe from occurring here. Many of the people who came to this country were fleeing religious oppression so the framers of the Constitution forbade the institution of an official religion and allowed the freedom of religious expression.

People then were angry with the corporations because the king had given the East India corporation the right to tax Americans. In the new nation the corporations were given temporary charters that were usually revoked when the job (the bridge, road, etc.) was completed.

Many of the people came to this country fleeing the economic inequality of Europe. All of the power and most of the wealth in Europe went to the nobility, the 1%, and the other 99% of the people lived in dire poverty. That system of political privilege was called Feudalism.

The framers of the Constitution expressly forbade the giving of any titles or the acceptance of any gifts because it did not want feudalism in the United States. The framers gave birth to the American Dream where any person no matter what their background or station in life, could become successful, when they included the Nobility Clause in the Constitution.

Article I, Section 9, Clause 8:
"No title of nobility shall be granted by the United States: and no person holding any office of profit or trust under them, shall, without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Title_of_No...

Today we have no kings or princes, but we do have nobility. All of the same problems and inequality inherent with feudalism are back with the neofeudalism of the rich and the corporations. The rich and the corporations control the government and dictate the laws. They control most of the wealth and the power in the nation

The American Dream is dead, because a good education, and a good job are a privilege only the rich can afford.

The average income of our Congressmen is $900,000/yr. They bestow benefits on those who pledge their fealty. All of the power is not in the hands of government however. One family in Vegas has single handedly sponsored the campaign of Newt Gingrich with $11 million in donations, but Newt was crushed by five to one spending by the Mitt Romney PACS which were driven by only 200 millionaires. The rich are simply buying the votes of the people. They are buying the election.

When The Republicans come to pledge their fealty to Trump, they are merely recognizing that we have entered the new state of Neofeudalism that they envision. It is no longer a Democracy if corporations and the rich can spend unlimited amounts without having to disclose what they are giving. They envision a nation run by, of, and for the rich, the powerful, and the corporations. A nation for the 1% . http://www.huffingtonpost.com/garrett-jo...

The rest of us are just serfs.

3 months ago: Unknowingly.
3 months ago: "The Donald" Al? Is he the GOP version of your "Anointed One"?
3 months ago: Sounds familiar. Something like what I see when I take a look at life in the US and compare it with how the money flows and who has power to do or not.

Congressmen think they are entitiled to respect just like the Pope and the Grand Dragon of the KKK, they don't think they have to earn it or the privilges they enjoy other than to buy their way into office and spread the money back out into the hands of the rich that put them there.

The rich own this country and they do not all carry US passports.

3 months ago: Good question Red. What is the Donald's attraction for all of your candidates?

You don't see any Democrats kissing the butt of an "anointed one."

The International Banking cartels, the Military Industrial Complex, the multinational corporations, and the billionaires all own Congress.

They dictate all policy, including tax policy that they crafted for their own benefit.

They also set up "Think Tanks" to pump out propaganda and they own the media which propagates that misinformation.

And the loyal minions like Red, just eat up all of their poop and vote for politicians who serve only the 1% and whose policies hurt the middle class.

Money not only buys votes, it also buys the loyalty of the dittoheads who watch Fox News and listen to hate radio, because their talking heads know how to play to the latent racism, homophobia, and intolerance of the small minded. They prey upon that loyalty and convince the puppets to vote against their own self interests.
3 months ago: Al, your perception of political events is lacking. "The Donald" endorsed Mitt Romney. That really did Mitt a whole bunch of good last night in CO, MO and MN. I asked you earlier if you thought "The Donald" was the GOP anointed one.

I have been telling you folks that it was going to be fun.

Where are your Tea Party jokes after that GOP trouncing in the trump card of Spades? Are you afraid to call a Spade a Spade?

Own it buddy. You and your ilk have been out maneuvered by the Hayseed Tea Party Underground... again...
3 months ago: Need I point out to you that you didn't mention Rick Santorum once in your misinformed article? How could that be Al? This is just way too funny to pass up.

Trump isn't too impressed with Santorum so he won't get the royal nod.He was defeated in his own State by 19 points, more than any other sitting Senator ever! All of the democrats are hoping and praying that the Tea Party will drive all Republicans to nominate Santorum. http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/02/...

I agree that since 41% of people would be less likely to vote for someone with the Donald's endorsement, maybe his endorsement was the kiss of death as far as the Tea Partiers go.

But we all know that the people don't count. Money is what counts and the Republican Establishment is owned by the billionaires, and they will decide who the nominee is (Romney). The establishment PACS have about $80 million. Santorum got about 1/4 of a million dollars after his big wins. Which do you think will win?
3 months ago: Nice to see you regurgitate the DNC talking points. I bet you and the DNC are thrilled. Code words- Crapping in our pants
3 months ago: Al, expand your question if you want my thoughts...

...Which do you think will win?...

Remember there is a long list of people grabbing delegates and dollars.

Why don't you try to see if you can find the combination that has a chance to not only burn Obama and the DNC but also the establishment GOP.

What are the totals as of today? Will they change again? What if it is a planned political action to prove a point? You think the Tea Party base are going to fall into line because the GOP bought some people that think they are the leaders of the Tea Party?

Too bad you folks are not privy to the underground communiqués....

3 months ago: OK I'll bite, who do you think will win the republican nomination? Probably none of the folk who are running. At the convention they might throw out Chris Christie or some other southern governor who hasn't been vetted by the primary process and it will be another Palin Disaster.

I wish the Tea Party candidates all of the luck in the world. The nuttier the better for the Dems.

While your guys are figuring out how to destroy the nation further, our guy is fixing things and the economy is getting better despite the obstructionism.

When the time comes for people to decide on what is best for the nation they will choose the folk who have been trying to help not hurt.
3 months ago: Yeah. Good article. Our country was organized for common people. At the time, there was lots of anger because England's organization had, over a long time, organized into wealthy and poor. America's Declaration of Independence reacted and made us a independent country. The founding fathers did their best. But we today, like England of yesteryear, find the wealthy control government. That is the straight truth, the wealthy control government. This means laws are passed that don't help common people very much. Laws are passed that help the wealthy get wealthier because wealthy people are creating and passing those laws. We are not so much represented in Congress as mis-represented in Congress. The office of President is our last bastion of balance. When we elect a George Bush, the wealthy get happy and we send cash to Iraq and Afghanistan. Let's not repeat that mistake by electing Mitt Romney.

3 months ago: Actually, when you think about it, our country was organized by the "haves" for the "haves", which in turn benefited the common folk. The tax revolt was organized by the people who were paying the taxes, namely the wealthy land owners, not the average Joes. The wealthy have always controlled the government, from its inception till now. The main problem is that a new set of wealthy are calling the shots, and they are not Americans. They are the moneylenders from England, who managed to infiltrate our economy with the establishment of the Federal Reserve Bank, under the watchful eye of, hmmm, who was it? Oh yeah, the Progressive Party's Woodrow Wilson. The same Federal Reserve that caused the Great Depression, and that made billions of dollars as a result.
3 months ago: Well Said Out of the Box. Our country declared itself and created a Constitution, and all the rest. The people who did that were the "haves". But their motivation at that time was in reaction to England's government. The "haves" reacted against how England was organized. They saw the laid-back, do-nothing, wealthy ruling class as sucking the soul from common man with taxes and other measures.

Themselves, the "haves" were doing a great deal. In a new land with vast resources, they were making themselves wealthy. And did not want their wealth tapped by England. Their solution was that men should have opportunity, if you earn it, you deserve the fruit of your labors. No one person should have the power to imprison you. And hey did their best, risking their persons and property and then writing a Constitution, that hopefully, would keep the bell of freedom tolling down through the ages.

They said back in 1930 that capitalism was a failed experiment, yet it is thriving even now, and more and more countries are adopting it as a way of life.
