Recently, I was looking over my earlier posts, trying to understand why I used to love to write on this site. It seems I have nothing to say here anymore, and went back to reread the early amishking, hoping to find some inspiration. I did realize one thing, though.
My first posts are still my favorite.
Yet it seems none of you read them. If you did, you didn't comment on them very much. For instance, one of my all time favorite rants is "All new for 1976", my second article. I love this piece. I thought it was funny and made a point. So why are there no comments on it?
Go now, read the damn thing. Tell me what you think. Even if it is to tell me that my writing stunk back then, or that my writing stinks now, just let me know. Tell me that it was funny, or that it was stupid. I am not looking for view counts, ad revenue, or to get on Google news. When I wrote the damn thing, Rantrave wasn't even on Google news. So go back, read some of my early stuff, and tell me where I made the turn for the worse. You can also tell me to stuff it, just tell me something.
Thanks. Peace.
