My New "Cash for....." Program

Well I thought we saw it all. We have had the Porkulus Package the Omnibus Spending Bill. Then we've had "Cash for Clunkers." What a great program the government instituted with this one. With all its good intentions, it failed. It was under funded, and then, after just a week, more money had to be added to it. Car dealers are walking the tight rope, because the government can't work in an efficient enough mammer to pay back the dealers. Personally I think this was a great way for the government to gather a whole lot of personal information out of the people who bought the cars, you know like how many businesses ask you for your email and mailing address “but you have the chance to win a $100 gift certificate." Not to mention all the used cars taken out of the market, which will now drive the price of used cars up, which will in turn force a number of people out of the used car market.

Enter Phase Two, "Cash for Refrigerators". Yahoo News reported (I posted a link on the side), that this is the next political payoff, I mean stimulus, plan from our government. They report that the $300 million program will offer rebates ($50 - 200) to people who buy high energy efficient home appliances. This is intended to help companies like Elecrolux, Whirlpool, and, go figure, GE (that stands for General Electric, as in the same company that owns Barack Obama’s propaganda networks, NBC and MSNBC). I know the carting industry, and their union drivers, will be getting a boost. They are going to have more garbage to cart away (I wonder if Tony Soprano is giving this administration these ideas).

My idea for Phase Three will be "Cash for Ourselves". This phase will be easy run. It’s simple. Not 1000 pages. Not even 1000 words. It does not use government central planning, but rather free market principles. This phase has already started, in the town hall meetings around the country. It will rid us of the worst, yet not most obvious form of tyranny our government imposes. John Taylor, whose father signed the Declaration of Independence, wrote about this extensively in his book Tyranny Unmasked (1821), it is "money transferring" That is the government taking our wealth, and transferring it to the groups it deems deserving. This form of tyranny is not so obvious because we are duped into thinking its capitalism because capitalism uses "money exchanges" in order to keep an economy moving. It's the words "transfer" and "exchange" that confuse most people.

The first step in executing "Cash for Ourselves" is to cut taxes. If we have the money in our pockets we will buy things we need, not the things from the industries that contributed money they didn't have to elect the current administration. The Federal is destroying the free market buy looting the fruits of our labor to put into to its treasury in order to pay off its political debts. Money taken buy the government is taken out of the economy. Government does not create wealth. Rather, it transfers it to someone that did not earn it, and wastes it.

The second step is for the government to stop spending. Stop pending our wealth to pay off your political debts. Spend it frugally, as Thomas Jefferson would say. Use it to serve and protect our liberties, not take them away in the name of a “public option” or “spreading democracy around the world.” This is aimed at politicians in general, Democrat and Republican. We have created a political class in this country, an aristocracy so to speak. This class is more dependent upon money transferring than the poor were on welfare.

Well that's it two paragraph for my "Cash for Ourselves" program. If these two simple steps are not followed, step three; vote the tyrannical thieves out of office!

Historically the amount of revenue and spending as a percentage of GDP are pretty constant, except for the debt and interest, but under Republicans debt goes up, the burden of taxation shifts to the middle class and unemployment goes up and the economy goes down. Under Democrats te debt goes down, the burden of taxation shifts to the corporations and the rich, the economy improves and more people are employed. When Republicans want taxes cut, it means the rich and the corporations, but the other 98% of the country ends up paying more in lost services and myriad other hidden taxes. Unless you are in the top 2% you have been duped by the corporatist propaganda, if you think tax cuts would go to you.

Individual tax rates went down during the Reagan administration, and again during the GW Bush administration. Meanwhile, as a result of the tax cuts, the total revenue to the treasury also increased during the Reagan administration years.

On a side not, unemployment hasn't been this high since the Carter (Democrat) presidency, but chances are you were still breast-feeding at that time, so I'll excuse your ignorance until you have a chance to brush up on your American History & Economics.

Anyone who can do a google search can refute your so called "facts".

By the way, corporations don't pay taxes, their customers do (in the form of higher prices).

Ask any businessperson who's been in business more than 5 years and they can tell you that they pass along higher taxes right to the customer.
