Dear Ms. Garofalo,

I am writing to you in response to your remarks you made about those who attended the Tea Parties.

Contrary to what you believe, I am not a racist. Those who were at the Tea Party in Austin, Texas did not seem to be racist to me. I also, while we are in the realm of bigotry, would like to inform you, as the FOX NEWS guy did, that the manor in which you use the term "red neck tea baggers," was as bigoted as you can get.

As for the way you and your former "Air America" pal Rachel Maddow play around with the tea bagging word, I thought that was wrong. Since however you find no offense in using the word as a verb, well I won't feel bad using it in saying: You wish you can be tea bagged by the likes of me. I bet you would like it after a long game of basketball in the hot Texas sun.

You asked a question while you were releasing your last load of vitriol from your mouth in Boston; where were all the tea bagging rednecks over the last eight years, if this had to do with fiscal imprudence. I speak for myself when I say, I was at home yelling at my television. I was yelling why are our elected representative bickering over useless semantics, who did this, when was this done. I was screaming just fix the problem, figure out who and why after.

Then in October something strange happened. During a heated campaign, just before the election. Both sides stopped. Both sides said that we had to drop everything and rush $700+ billion through congress to bail out "companies to big to fail." I smelled something funny. It smelled like our government was tea bagging me after they debated for a week with no air conditioning or showers. The bickering stopped and a massive bailout was passed, by both parties. My Republican representatives were just as bad as the Democrats.

Next, Barack Obama is elected. Change is in the air in Washington. I did not vote for him, but I felt it could not be that bad. Boom, $787 billion Stimulus passed, with out any time to read the 10,000 page bill.

Ms. Garofalo, that is why myself and many others attended the Tea Parties. April 15th was just a day to be noticed. We are organizing another on Independence Day. I don't want your apology, I want your support. Your support against a tyrannical government, that did not become any less tyrannical with the new administration. Drop the party and just fight the politicians.

Sincerely,

Billyberoo

36 months ago: You are a lot more civil than she is. Well said.
36 months ago: Billy, I grant you the right to call me a 'Cracker' when used in the right context. I do find it funny that she would even mention a bag of any kind. Have you heard of 'Coyote Ugly'? Do you kow what it refers to?

Coyotes will literally chew their own leg off to get away.

Nice pillow talk huh?

I also wish this many people had gotten together to protest the money being wasted to torture non-existent information out of people who knew nothing about any link between their organization and the government of Iraq and then to protest their government spending $10,000,000,000 a month to repair and stabilize a country that was supposed to see us as liberators but instead saw fit to put more than 4,000 of our finest in body bags to be shipped home and another 20,000+ in some state of injury whether physical or mental as to be costing us VA bills to the tune of hundreds of millions over their lifetimes.

Yeah, I would like to know where the protesters were on these equally important and costly issues, because I didn't hear about any protests, I didn't hear anything, in fact coming from these very same people just as long as the money is spent abroad fixing damage to countries that did us no harm, and on weapons to make us safe, and staff to check our zip loc bags at the airport, they don't seem to care how much money is spent. But, lo and behold, you try and spend some of that money domestically, building highways, repairing schools, and so on, and suddenly they're off their couch and out in the streets pouring tea into the gutters.

Isn't that special!

It doesn't always have to be serious with you Ward Cleaver types.

kiddin.

This woman (and with her mouth and tatoos she obviously is no lady) is an example of a liberal. She knows she herself is brilliant, her poop does not stink, everybody that disagrees with her is a hayseed idiot, and only she knows what is best for every body else in the world. Above all, liberals get very angry when they are forced to confront a flaw in their beliefs.
It is fun to watch. (Coloranter Raver does it.)

I am starting to understand that view point of where was everyone. But thinking back to the 1980 World Series, Reggie Jackson was nowhere to be found and next thing you know he hit 4 home runs in a game. I believe he got the nick name Mr. October for that.
Why things happen, or don't I don't know, but things seem to be happening now. More and more people are dropping the partisan arguments and looking right at the politician. For it is the Political class that is truly the evil that awaits, not the poor, not the middle class, not even the rich. It is the politicians.
36 months ago: The 'Political Class' is ruled by the 'Economic Class'.

36 months ago: Don't know what your definition of "Economic Class" is. But if it means rich, I will disagree, as it is the politicians that set up the economic obstacles (laws) that make the rich dependent upon them.
36 months ago: My thinking is that it is the other way around. It is the elite economic class that has setup the elite political class to do their bidding. Do you think that the elite political class has not had instructuctions from above (and I don't mean the Almighty). They have been doing a good job since 1961.

It does not mean 'Rich' it means 'Super Super Rich'. It means those that are so rich that they and all of the next 10 generations of their offspring could never spend all of the ill-gotten gains.

36 months ago: I can see your point, but where to you place Bill Gates, The Donald (Trump), Steve Jobs just to mention few from today. These people got that rich despite obstacles politicians placed in their way.
I do however look at someone like our present President, and VP, both with fairly humble beginnings, both not becoming super rich, at least until they amassed the power they did. (I'm only using B.O. and Biden because they are in office now).
The Bush's made some money, but it seems there wealth exploded upon gaining political power and giving instructions to those who are becoming rich or super rich.

I do believe it occurs both ways, but I see it probably 75-25 my way.
36 months ago: Bill Gates - Bought DOS real cheap and convinced IBM to use it under licensing for the original IBM PCs. At that time there was also another manufacturer of PCs most don't remember Tandy/Radio Shack TrsDOS. Guess who won. Bill Gates didn't write any of the original DOS that he sold to IBM and as far as I know never did anything but sell other peoples intellectual property as his own. Donald Trump is a bold faced con-man and theif. Steve Jobs co-founder of Apple which was ousted after a take-over attempt then took the money he gained from the then booming PC market to start other companies which relied on government contracts to survive. Jobs was only brought back to Apple after the company (Apple) bought NeXT from Jobs and that was part of the deal. All of them are power hunger money brokers that don't give a rats a*s about a common person.
