If you’re in Mississippi, raise your flabby hand. For the fifth year in a row, Mississippi is number one in the U.S. for adult obesity (32.5 percent).
According to a study by the Trust for America's Health and The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, four of the fattest states now have obesity rates above 30 percent, including Mississippi, West Virginia, Alabama, and Tennessee. Eight of the 10 states with the highest percentage of obese adults are south of the Mason-Dixie line, too.
Well done, Colorado. You have the lowest percentage of obese adults in the nation (18.9 percent).
Sadly, the “fattest states” index showed that not a single state decreased its obesity percentage rate in the last year.

C’mon, people. Less hamburgers and more salad.
