http://tinyurl.com/brainwash1http://tinyurl.com/brainwash2Law Enforcement (LE) insiders warn that elements of the Federal Government appear to be engaged in a program to actively condition state and local law enforcement personnel to view all openly conservative Americans as potential domestic terrorists.
On Survival Blog, an 18 year LE veteran advises that there has been a significant shift in the orientation of required training for LE personnel. His past training was community-oriented and themes included topics such as community partnerships, youth-oriented programs, problem-oriented policing and Constitutional rights. The training was conducted by local agencies or private companies specializing in LE training.
By contrast, LE training these days is most often sponsored/conducted by elements of Department of Homeland Security, specifically the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Where once police training was focused on the local community (i.e. the people the police are allegedly there to "protect and serve") the training now has shifted to - in the author's words -
"a federally dominated model of complete social control"
The author continues that irrespective of the ostensible topic, the training invariably branches off into warnings about potential domestic terrorists in the community.
While that might sound innocuous and even a valid issue of officer and community safety, the definition of a typical domestic terrorist is truly unsettling. The federal trainers warn of "extremists" and "militia groups" allegedly roaming our communities and "hiding in plain sight", ready to attack. Officers are instructed in how to recognize the alleged "terrorists" based upon their behavior, views and common characteristics. A recent graduate of an OPOTC basic police academy said that the gist of their training - SIX MONTHS' WORTH - was that "Islamic Extremism" doesn't exist and that all Tea Party adherents are "Hitler worshiping, anti-government psychopaths who want to kill cops" and that if they ever pulled over a vehicle with a GOA (Gun Owners of America) or Gadsden Flag (coiled snake with the caption "don't tread on me" beneath it) they should "have backup on the way and be ready for a fight."
The LE veteran listed the alleged common characteristics of potential domestic terrorists as:
Expressions of libertarian philosophies (statements, bumper stickers)
Second Amendment-oriented views (NRA or gun club membership, holding a CCW permit)
Survivalist literature (fictional books such as "Patriots" and "One Second After" are mentioned by name)
Self-sufficiency (stockpiling food, ammo, hand tools, medical supplies)
Fear of economic collapse (buying gold and barter items)
Religious views concerning the book of Revelation (apocalypse, anti-Christ)
Expressed fears of Big Brother or big government
Homeschooling
Declarations of Constitutional rights and civil liberties
Belief in a New World Order conspiracy
Yet another commonly used tactic in such training is to slander certain ideologies by falsely linking an erroneous characteristic to a particular group. For example: (all caps sections are the false information)
These groups hold the anniversaries of certain dates as significant such a Ruby Ridge, Waco and HITLER'S BIRTHDAY
They oppose abortion, support gun rights AND ARE AFFILIATED WITH THE KU KLUX KLAN
They are fearful of big government, espouse support for the Constitution AND WANT TO KILL POLICE OFFICERS
These groups collect firearms, survivalist books AND EXPLOSIVES
These extremists read books such as Patriots, One Second After AND THE ANARCHIST COOKBOOK (of which, it so happens, I happen to have a PDF of BC)
They are religious zealots, reading the book of Revelation, speak of the second coming of Christ AND PLAN MASS MURDERS TO SUMMON THE END OF THE WORLD
These people grow their own food, raise livestock AND PLOT ATTACKS ON COMMERCIAL FOOD PRODUCTION FACILITIES
This tactic is both simple and effective AND it includes a large admixture of truth (it is said that the best lies are mostly truth). All you have to do is list common characteristics of libertarian/conservative minded people and tack on a slanderous accusation. When someone reads/hears it, they recognize A and B and automatically assume that C is also true - ESPECIALLY SINCE THEIR INSTRUCTOR SAYS IT! The officers are being conditioned (brainwashed?) to equate politically incorrect views with terroristic ideation and intent. The sad fact is that even as ridiculous and simple-minded as this approach is, there will always be some officers (and regular folks?) who buy into it.
Law Enforcement personnel are being conditioned to view people who hold strong beliefs about the Constitution as "dangerous". Despite recent Supreme Court rulings, the author at Survival Blog insists he heard a trainer state that
"these people actually believe the Second Amendment gives them the personal right to own a gun."
in a blatant attempt to suggest to the officers in the class that the Second Amendment does not apply to individual gun ownership and that they should be suspicious of anyone who holds such a view. Imagine. In the USA today anyone who believes in the founding legal principles of our republic is considered a potential domestic terrorist. Perhaps it IS true that "one man's 'terrorist' is another man's 'freedom fighter'".
I don't know about you, dear reader, but I consider this to be very ominous.
