Are you trying to tell me you had no idea what you were signing onto when you signed with the 0-16 Detroit Lions? On the other hand, were you just ungrateful they would not give you the money for a longer contract you were trying to extort from them?
Your numbers were adequate and a whole lot more impressive than your stats the entire time with the Pittsburgh Steelers on your first tour with the steel curtain. After all you only had more tackles in 2005 (76) the 2008 season with the Steelers (35) was it any wonder they were not offering you a bigger deal. I personally think you were lucky to get the deal with the Lions you got they took a chance on an aging Veteran player in the hopes of lifting up the defense which you rather did and sort of did not.
So take your contract with the Steelers and feel free to keep all comments about the Lions to yourself because we could have given you a large, long contract and what might we have gotten in exchange? Who knows your stats were up and down for seasons so goodbye.
