Unless you have been living under a rock you probably have heard the name Lady Gaga mentioned at least half a dozen times whenever the entertainment section of the news comes on.
Lady Gaga is supposedly the musical phenomenon of our era. She has been compared to Freddy Mercury the lead singer of the band Queen in the Seventies and eighties, Madonna in the eighties and nineties and Marilyn Manson in the nineties and early double zero's
Her Musical Style which is pop/dance mostly resembles Madonna's early work. While her stage antics and showmanship is more reminiscent of a cross between Madonna and Marilyn Manson.
However where Lady Gaga excels the most is her outlandish costumes on and off the stage. Her style takes femininity and all things female and pushes that envelope to the extreme, much like a drag queen would but many times more so. In fact her latest musical work, her third studio album titled born this way is a not so indirect homage and anthem call for the effeminate male regardless of his sexual or gender orientation.
This perhaps explains why she has been compared to Freddy Mercury, Whose career and life has become the role model and inspiration for millions of gay males, regardless of the tragic way that he died.
That brings me to the point of this essay: Is Lady Gaga a man? With every celebrity there is the expected gossip so it should not surprise you that this question is not wholly or partly my idea. In fact I am pretty convinced by the cicumstacial evidence that she is not exactly what she claims. To what degree she lacks what it takes tro be a real flamboyant female I am not sure but the fact that she is not, does sit comfortably within my cerebelum.
Of course what her sexuality or gender really is doesn't matter to me at all but gossip rules dictate that if I dish it out that I at least give some form of foundation to base my speculation on. So in that spirit here is my suggestive if not telling list.
1) Early modeling photographs- She looks profoundly more masculine.
2) Voice Changed-voice has also gotten more refined over time.
3) Crotch Close Ups- They reveal a mysterious bulge.
4) Mysterious little girl pictures - In these she actually looks like a girl. Not typical.
5) As a pubescent adolescent her form remains rather boyish..
6) Her celebrity cause of choice is: GLBT rights.
7) Lyrical references to gender insecurity- This is a MTF transexual biggie.
8) Her stage name comes from the Queen song, Radio Ga-Ga, A sort of self inflicted passing on of the torch.
