It sure did not take long for the GOP to forget why they were voted back into the majority by the American people. Its seems our honorable House Speaker, John "Bonehead" Boehner is under the impression that recent number of seats won by his party was a signed approval by all Americans to forward a Republican agenda.
Recent statements in response to questions regarding his budget cuts clearly demonstrate the political divide between Congress and the people they are sworn in to office to represent. The Independent voters hope for moderation in government has been swept aside by the cold brutality of Republican Congress . . .their way or no way at all - "So Be it!"
When is this country going to get it in its head that switching the party in power does nothing constructive and only swings the pendulum to the opposite side of the political spectrum? Independent voters need to stop sitting on the fence and rise up to form a truly moderate party or stability will never return to America. Even as a 99er I did not support the health care plan and felt the last congress went way to far on many issues, but I was also conscious of the fact that a vote for a Republican was not a vote for moderation.
