Where Have All The Jobs Gone?

Congress and the Senate want all the Americans to get jobs, and quit wasting the unemployment money. The truth is there is no more unemployment money except for what each individual state contributes. That's why you see some states are still able to pay unemployment and some aren't. And Congress and Capital Hill never told anyone that they have already spent that money on something else. That's why they want to 'dip' into Social Security benefits, they know that budget has money. They have over spent this nation into a borderline depression and they know it.
Just in the past few months big companies like Bank of America cut 3,500 jobs, Merck Co will be cutting 13,000 jobs, Cisco cut 7,000 jobs, Lockheed Martin cut 6,500 jobs, Marie Callender's went bankrupt, so 2,500 jobs were lost there. There are a few more but the one that really sticks out is Goodyear. The Goodyear plant in Union City Tennessee, has closed it's doors to 1,900 people, because they said the plant wasn't competitive enough. That city itself is going to be devastated with the loss of work for everyone in the city. All together in the past few months just a few large companies have let over 46,000 people without a job.
Now I ask the 'great politicians' who run this country, where are the 'jobs' you want people to get. If these big companies are letting people go, I know the smaller ones are doing it too, just in smaller amounts of people. In my city for every job available there is 50 people applying for it. Asking people around the country, they say their towns and cities aren't any better. One man said it's even hard to get a job at the casinos in Vegas now, no one is hiring, unless they absolutely have to. And anyone who has a company or small business, are begging for business so they can stay afloat. No one is spending anymore either, the 'almighty dollar' is being held tightly so families can survive pay check to pay check. Most families now only have one income, and there are kids involved, it takes alot to feed and clothe them. And let's not forget keeping a roof over their heads and a car in the yard.
So, to our politicians, where are all the jobs again, we didn't get the memo. But you seem to be getting all of our taxes to pay your salaries, how convenient. We already know the percentage of unemployed is alot higher than what the gov't says it is, it's not the 10% it's more like 25%, politicians don't want people to know how high because if it's over 10% it's considered a "depression" not a recession.
Things are so bad here, The Hershey Co. in PA brought in hundreds of foreign students to work the plant, for the summer. They had them working full shifts and paid them about $200.00 a week. They said it was just an introduction to the students of the way the United States runs a business. It wasn't anything like the 'slave labor' everyone is making it out to be. Yeah an easy way to get cheap labor for the summer, and hopefully no body catches on. If Hershey has some of these positions open, why aren't they hiring people here who need the jobs here at home. The all mighty dollar, attached to "greed" can eventually bring anyone down.
Unless more and more American's become entrepreneurs to start making their own money, things aren't looking good. And the American's who are entrepreneurs need to start teaching it to others, to help someone else, who can use a hand-up.
So this is just a few things going on in our unemployment/ recession/depression world. How is unemployment where you are, have you found the jobs our politicians are talking about?

We should go back to the fiscal policies of Clinton who created 40 million jobs and ended up with $250 billion surpluses projected indefinitely into the future.

The people know what needs to be done. 2/3rds of the people want Social Security and Medicare protected and they want the military cut and the rich taxed more. But the politicians have been bought off by the rich and the corporations, so they are the only ones who are thriving while the rest of the country is in a depression.

The Democrats in the house have proposed 41 different bills to create jobs, but the Republicans have refused to bring them to the floor. Rep. Schakowsky's bill to create 2.2 million jobs is the best because it targets the Chronically unemployed like the 99r's. http://schakowsky.house.gov/index.php?op...
