The recent staunch stance by the Republicans to cut the federal defict through tough and understanbly painful cuts has placed them in the crosshairs of Progressives and many Moderates alike. The liberal media likewise quickly took on the offensive, and the Republicans have been crucified as heartless, greedy, and out for the rich.
However the truth is that the Republicans are the only ones trying to save our country from a finacial catastrophy that is around the corner. They are sacrificing themselves to do what is nessesary. While the Democrates, except for a few, are out trying to give more and make themselves look better regardless of the consequences, the Republicans are the ones looking like the bad guys because they know what the consequences of not acting now will mean.
That is why I feel bad for the Republicans. They are being the responsible ones telling us to eat our vegtables while the Democrates are feeding us cookies and cakes!
No body wants to be the bad guy, but somebody has to do it!
