I would like to thank Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer fro inspiring these words with their Op-Ed in USA Today.
IT IS UN-AMERICAN to have our government take over private owned automakers.
IT IS UN-AMERICAN for our President to fire the CEO of one of those companies.
IT IS UN-AMERICAN to take the fruits of ones labor and give it to another.
IT IS UN-AMERICAN to have the government set salaries for workers in the private sector.
IT IS UN-AMERICAN to use our government to arbitrarily choose which private companies will succeed and which will fail.
IT IS UN-AMERICAN for the government to allow labor unions to create a monopoly of labor (as our labor is a product purchased by employers).
IT IS UN-AMERICAN for our government to spend more than it has, placing future generations into debt.
IT IS UN-AMERICAN to protest with violence, but VERY AMERICAN to protest LOUDLY.
IT IS UN-AMERICAN for the Executive Branch to ask citizens to "rat out" other citizens exercising their First Amendment rights.
IT IS UN-AMERICAN to insult the citizens you work for by calling them "un-American."
IT IS UN-AMERICAN and idiotic to fix a hole in the wall by tearing down the house and building a bigger one.
IT IS UN-AMERICAN and just as idiotic to fix our Health Care system by tearing it a part and replacing it with an even larger bureaucracy.
IT IS UN-AMERICAN to vote for or against a bill that has not been read.
IT IS UN-AMERICAN to not give people time to read a piece of legislation.
IT IS UN-AMERICAN to write bills that the People, your BOSSES, and fellow members of Congress, cannot understand without a team of lawyers.
Speaker Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, and MR. President:
IT IS VERY AMERICAN for me to write and post for anyone to see what I just wrote.
IT is also time for me to end for now, as I must go to work to pay the enormous, UN-AMERICAN taxes that the government you work in has levied upon me.
But I'm not done with "It is".
