I remember when the NDP was in power in BC, at that time I was in the Video Production business, the economy became so bad that very few could afford to have a promotional video made. Many companies left for Alberta and the United States. It took years for our economy to be restored, when at finally they were voted out.
The young people are for the NDP because they have no memory of the recent past. You can't tax businesses to give the Seniors, Students and the poor more money. The business will hire less, leave the country, then there will be unemployment and Canada will become an indebted Country.
I am astounded by the most recent poll numbers. seemingly the socialist NDP is surging in various parts of the country and may indeed spoil a Conservative majority. Even worse, Jack Layton has suggested that he would share power with the separatist Bloc Québécois and reopen Canada's constitution.
Couple this with an economic agenda that was written in Candyland, and Canada could be facing a generation of political and fiscal turmoil.
