In hard times remember the few

As we, all help those in the disaster in Haiti I would still like to remind so many of those Homeless Veterans who have been treated like the few.

As Americans we have no problems when a big disaster occurs somewhere around the world to find the means to reach out and help in big ways all the while at home unless the media has a frenzy on the subject no one seems to care much.

Many of these men and sometimes women fought for yours and my freedoms and I can only wish I had the fiscal ability to help those who need it.

Why am I bringing this up now one might ask two reasons: one reason is I ran across a video on you tube about homeless veterans and the other Bankers are on Capital Hill discussing their overly large paychecks and bonuses after taking billions in bail out funds.

It seems when it comes to donations from such people they only donate and give in most cases what they are able to write off on their taxes otherwise they have no interest in giving much of their millions to those who have nothing and many whom lost their homes to these very bankers banks.

I hope when they look in the mirror in the morning they see the devils inside and not the over-paid fat cats they are. Enjoy your new Mercedes and swimming pools because when you lose yours many people won’t be feeling sorry for you and the veterans who help you out on the streets make you feel even more guilty for your greed.

The US military branches invest a lot of time and energy turning the minds of young men and woman from naïve children into cold-blooded killing machines. This is the job of a soldier that goes into warfare. Understood. But why for G-d’s sakes do they not invest even a fraction of that time and energy into deprogramming soldiers who are coming home to live civilian lives once again? I’ve known a few war vets in my day. None of them are have ever been quite the same. How unfair to throw a person out into the street all traumatized after they have dedicated their youth to killing for their country. How utterly and miserably unfair!

You are on your own.

You won't find any corporation that won't want to look good by donating. But if they can't write it off, then forget any help or donations for the poor or the victims of natural disasters.

A for profit private corporation is responsible to make a profit, it is not a charity.

A ficticious entity has no heart or soul.

And if they board of directors are fat cats, they won't send their own money no matter who dies.
