First thing, I want to stab everyone that calls me chief in the face, stop it! very few things irritate me more
Second: This proposed "mosque" on "Ground Zero" should be allowed to be built. I have not heard one sensible argument as to why not. Its not at Ground Zero, its roughly two and a half blocks away, in an old Burlington Coats Factory, which isn't sacred or hallowed in any way whatsoever. Frankly i feel anything built on Ground Zero that isn't a memorial to those who both died as a result of those attacks and died trying to save those trapped inside the buildings to be disrespectful. There is also an actual mosque in the pentagon, which was also attacked on 9/11, and nobody said anything about that.
It's also not a mosque. Stop calling it one, its more like a Muslim community center, and Christians have one in almost every town in America called the YMCA(Young Men's Christian Association), the Jews have some spread throughout the country as well called the YMHA, so why can't those who follow Islam have some? actually, there is one in my town, but they should be allowed to have more than a few sparse locations.
And let us not forget, THEY HAVE A PROTECTED RIGHT TO PRACTICE WHERE THEY WANT, its the first amendment, one of the rights that the founding fathers agreed was the most essential to be protected, which is why its first. You can't tell them to go take it somewhere else, because that's oppression, not freedom.
Also anybody who uses the logic "you wouldn't put a Japanese shrine at Pearl Harbor", there is one, a full out shinto shrine, so you can shove it up your **** if you disagree with me, because there is no logical argument against it.
