If 99ers Could Save Time In A Bottle, We Wouldn't Save Now

The passage of time allows pain to fully and properly introduce itself to all facets of the human condition - physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, psychological, intellectual, perceptual, social, financial, political, religious, etc.

The passage of time since 99ers were abandoned by the Obombasta Ad(hoc)ministration in the middle of December of 2010 has allowed 99ers to fully understand the depth of betrayal that we are the victims of.

The passage of time since 99ers were separated from our careers, livelihoods and dignity has allowed us to know that President Obombasta is an a-soul capable of selling lies disguised as bombastic national anthems sung for money and power on an international scale.

If 99ers could save time in a bottle, we certainly would NOT save now.

Ruined careers, broken families, forclosed homes, starvation, hypothermia, homelessness, disease, insanity, incarceration, negative credit scores, suicide, etc. are the norm now as opposed to exception.

America has entered a Neo-Dark Ages where real news is suppressed, false agendas are promoted and anti-heroes are celebrated.

I saw that Obama is planning to support economic development and promote democratic movements in the Middle East and North Africa. He will be out there spending billions of America's dollars.
The condition of our Country is deteriorating, and he keeps giving it away for free. He just ignors the conditions on the home front. Sunny

President Obombasta obviously enjoys giving away what isn't really his to give away.

Likewise, recipients of big bribes rarely inquire about the source of the revenue.

12 months ago: Pastor By the way, your Article was very well written. I believe that if Government can beat Americans down long enough and hard enough that we will have to give in to our learned way of life and practices that made us who we are in the first place. There is a pressure placed on the people making our society unlearn everything we know which gives us strength and growth as individuals and proud Americans. This can be the collapse of our structure if something isn't done to put the jobs back. If the people are being treated in this demeaning fashion, then the next generation will fall by the way side and never have a chance. I see ads constantly encouraging the youth of America to take advantage of the educational opportunities offered to them. They make it look so easy, but the youth of America will be struggling to find food for themselves and their families. Where is it going to get them if they enter into a school with no job at the end of it. Plus, it will take them away from their families that will need them. If one generation fails and falls apart at the seams because of poverty and lose their self-reliance and independence, this will become the norm and the end of our learned American ways. It will have a domino effect on the future generations where they won't have that esteem and will give in to accept a lower standard of life not knowing anything else. Nobody can tell me that this isn't similar to 3rd World practices and a beginning of an end. This attitude of ignoring the people when they are crying out for help is a learned practice. Not much sympathy for the poorer folks. I'll probably get bashed for saying this but how can it be overlooked. I'm sorry to all of you who think I am wrong but do you see any progress being made. No, we are going straight downhill. I don't have blinders on.

12 months ago: Once that last benefit check is cashed panic sets in.
The terrible reality is that you must settle for any kind of work. That isn't so easy to do, and not always a good thing, because of the way it looks to potential employers when you try to get out of it. When you earn 60,000 plus just as an average, then drop down to $10.00 an hour, something is wrong somewhere. Where do professional people go to pick themselves up? People are always putting their two-cents worth in for us to get up and get out there as if we are not. You can tell they haven't had to deal with it.
I can't stand it when some of these politicians want to be our heroes and make a lot of noise, and it is quickly silenced by rejection from Congress. The last time the Legislation came up one of the Black Caucus Representatives said to the President it was too expensive. I couldn't believe my ears because this was suppose to be a big deal and everyone was waiting for this person to help. It didn't even have a chance, and you can't tell me that wasn't planned just to keep the people in their place. This was the Group that was instilling hope in desperate people. You don't see one thing anymore written, or otherwise, mentioned on the internet that shows any kind of progress being made. Job creation is last on the list in America. How can anyone say this Administration cares about the people's situations? It will only get worse.
A manufacturing company that I know of puts a new hire on probation three months but constantly threatens you during that time that they will fire you if you take off even for an emergency. Then after three months, if you make it, they are suppose to give you insurance, but they don't. For one year there is no sick days, and if you have to be out, it is deducted. They put you through seeing that your job is listed back on Craig's List, and they interview in front of you to harass and make you sick with worry.
They don't deserve good people working for them because they never worked with solid good experienced people and want to beat them down to their level. You can do a great job for them and make money for the company instantly, and you can see the change for the better instantly. Once you do, they give that project to a member of their family or another staff member who can't handle it, but it looks good for them and keeps them occupied. Government does not care about the people. There off on something else that amuses them in a flash. I think they are bored with us and don't care because they feel more important.

I feel badly for the youth in America that don't have a chance at all at anything to do to earn a living. I see thousands of cars on the road, so they must be working somewhere. The people who fell short during that 2 year period which was the worse time are the millions that are having it extremely hard and soon to follow more being dropped off of benefits. It is going to be a rough ride.

12 months ago: PD.........Today I'm probably on a roll. You would think how much talk there is on security that they would care about creating jobs. Once only a few are working compared to our population numbers, where are they going get the money from taxes to support the military to protect the home front?

12 months ago: Rose Smith,

The road is very rough right now for all unemployed / under-employed / underpaid citizens of the United States.

Hang in there any way that you can.

Eventually, American communities will come together to ensure everyone's survival, regardless of Obombasta's intention to commit Holocaust 2011.

sunny2,

Even if 99ers are "saved" by a retroactive Tier 5 Unemployment Benefits extension and the subsequent creation of millions of jobs paying living wages, most of us have already lost everything that we owned, and were thrown far into debt trying to hang on to what we had.

Starting over with nothing in a ruined economy is sadly the best that most 99ers can hope for.

It's gonna be rough. But we'll make it.

Americans must start forming our own local "Councils" and "Committees" to discuss local economics, organize community-level social services, house the homeless, feed the hungry and give water to the thirsty.

12 months ago: PD....I agree with you.
We are far beyond saving from any kind of temporary fix. I think acceptance sets in and is replaced by a struggle to dig out. Government is not helping at all. They are not coming up with any ideas or plan. What does that say for them?
We get knocked down but stand up again but some just don't have that strength anymore or time on their side to fight back.
The enduring ones are still pretty rugged and tough to get through this senseless situation that has been placed on them.
It is mental exhaustion that is a killer. You spend a life time of setting goals and achieving only to have Big Business clear it away while Government is mute to it all. Sunny

12 months ago: sunny2,

99ers are under siege from all fronts.

However, the race is not for the swift, but for those who can endure.

And I know that you, and all 99ers, can.

We will survive Holocaust 2011.

The path of the righteous is strewn with brambles thrown by the unrighteous to impede our progress.

The meek shall inherit the Earth.

99ers will survive.
