Is this the middle East? Is this Greece? Is this the loss of human rights and the world as we know it... NO! It is the result of the loss of a hockey game, downtown Vancouver... after getting trounced by BOSTON! IF this was in Boston... would the Boston police let it get this out of hand? Today sadly I am disappointed that I am a Canadian... where a hockey game over rules common sense, and stupidity reigns over sportsmanship.

Vancouverites awoke Thursday morning to the aftermath of devastating riots that overtook downtown streets shortly after the hometown Canucks were crushed 4-0 in the deciding game of the Stanley Cup finals.
There were stabbings, numerous cars set on fire, and marquee stores looted throughout the downtown area, as police used tear gas and pepper spray to try – mostly unsuccessfully – to quell the ugly outbreak of violence. At least one person is listed in critical condition."

CHOKE! Yet I am glad that I wasn't anywhere near the downtown Granville area of Vancouver... I might have been lynched! We have always said 'up here' ..."it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt... then it's hockey!" Well many people got hurt... but it's definitely NOT hockey. It's sad.
