I just got done watching the White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs give his daily press conference.
Who is he kidding? I cannot believe that this mans tongue does not burst into flames.
Am I the only one that has had it with the arrogance of this White House? Am I the only one who is tired of my government telling me that I don't know what I want; that I am a tool of some special interest group and incapable of thinking for myself?
Robert Gibbs was asked repeatedly about the House of Representatives intention of voting on a rule instead of the actual Senate Health Care Bill. His response was some slippery, convoluted string of words that basically said "well, there is going to be a vote."
When it was pointed out to Mr Gibbs that President Barack Obama has said that the American people deserve an up or down vote on Healthcare bill (not a rule) Gibbs responded that he was not aware of what the House has decided to do.
When Robert Gibbs was asked if the White House has a position, or even a preference, he could not respond with anything that resembled an answer.
In the meantime members of Congress are running around stating that it is no big deal because this has been done many times before. What? When is the last time that the government has taken over 1/6 of the American Economy? When is the last time that the government has passed a bill that would enable them to decide who gets healthcare, how much they get and when they have received enough?
The fact that the President and his goon squad are going to such great lengths to pass a bill that the majority of the American people do not want should tell you something. This is unprecedented that the government is spending this amount of time, issuing bribe after bribe after bribe to get a bill passed, no matter the level of resistance from the American People.
Everyone, no matter what you political persuasion happens to be, you should be horrified!
