Just recently Circuit City went out of business. To my advantage, a 52" LCD flat screen TV suddenly became available to me (Thanks Circuit City!). So of course I had to upgrade my cable and I got the High Definition (HD) Package.
WOW! I can't believe what I've been missing out on! You see, my last TV was a 27" el cheapo from Wal-Mart. Now with the upgrade the visual colors are just amazing. Sports is amazing, video games are amazing, movies and my favorite TV shows are so much better.
Now my Rant. The HD upgrade gives you a large selection of channels to choose from. It can be a little frustrating when I am trying to locate a specific show. BUT my wife seems to watch the regular channels. Now after experiencing channels in HD, I don't want to go back to regular channels. I'm like honey, why don't you watch that same show on a HD channel and I get this big ordeal that it's the same thing. I don't think she understands the difference. What a hassle I have to put up with just to get her to change it to a better station and what kills me is that it's the same show but in HD.
Oh well, what can you do? TV will still rot your brains weather it's regular cable or in HD.
